I once took a Meditation class in college, and it turned out to be mostly woo (including having us do a report about chakras as though they were a real thing). I observed something interesting though: after each (YouTube guided) mediation session the instructor would go from person to person and ask what they felt. If he started at the other end of class everyone would say vague but positive things and I would be the only dissent. If he began with me then there would be more people willing to admit they didn't feel "energy" or "oneness", because they didn't have to be the first one.

I have to comment here for all my fellow grad students.... you can't buy a real PhD. they might give you one for effort if you toiled for 7 years and got nothing, but we get paid (slave wages) because we're working. Usually 80+ a week. Just saying.
