How do you guys feel about crowded illustrations such as this one? This month, I felt like doing it more often. One or two characters may convey more details, a unique character concept, just like a portrait is more nuanced than a group photograph, but from three characters onward, there’s a better chance to tell a story, or at least to listen to many voices. I’m not sure how many of you guys had the opportunity to be in those spaces (i.e., threesomes, orgies, etc.), but there’s an undeniable aesthetic appeal to them, an aura. For a cinematic reference that’s very dear to me, the movie Caligula (1979) has a beautiful orgy scene that’s truly memorable.
Balance is an essential aspect of such scenes, not only a technical balance between lights and darks, colorful and grayish hues, but also male and female, expected and unexpected, tense and relaxed, not to mention non-explicit elements, such as music, rhythm, props, fabrics, smiles, gazes, and also, why not, a very subjective sense of trust, without which orgies would be a lot harder to initiate. I brought some of those elements to the table today, but I’m willing to go further next month. Would you guys like that?

Thanks, Nate! I’m always striving for this dreamlike effect. When I first started painting NSFW illustrations, it usually meant using lots of soft brushes, but there’s also so much one can achieve with colors, shapes, composition, and so on! I hope to maintain those high points, like you said, while continuing to develop new effects, statements, and stories. =^_____^= About Caligula, can you believe I stumbled upon that movie while doing my research for a Caligula role when I, for a couple of years, was part of a theatrical troupe? That crass mistake changed my life forever (LOL).

Art Director K! It’s so good to see you! On the other hand, I evaluate all my work based on our projects together. My passion for Caligula aside for a moment, I was thinking about those lovely group scenes (fluffy tails and motorboats included!) when I painted this one; you know that, right? After I posted this one, I thought, “Why on Earth didn’t you paint a single majestic tail, Q?” =^_____^=

Just saw the Caligula scene and yeah, I can tell why you like it! But this drawing of yours captures some of your high points. The soft colors and pleasant, dreamlike feel of things adds a layer of beuty. The blend of realistic bodies with fantasy features like multiple breasts and equine members gives it a wondeful contrast too. Your group stuff has always been a treat.
