hi, i asked this question in a previous thread but i don’t think anyone saw it so i’ll ask again here! how will hats work for people with textured hair? i’m a black girl myself so putting a hat on my natural hair isn’t really common for me lol. if my para has a fro, will putting a hat on her smoosh the hair or will the game default to a smoother texture that can accept a hat more easily? everything looks amazing guys!! 💕

Yes, you can recolor the highlights to match the skin color (If you wanna remove them) and chose different nose and other face presets

Aaah good eye! There's a cut there where I changed to parafolk bodytype to a more muscular one, that's why it's more detailled, she's goes from an average body type to an average muscular one If you're curious why I cut it, I was just arranging something in the settings and that may have spoiled some stuff hehe

I too have always had curly hair, though others in my family have more strait hair, my aunt used to accuse my mom of curling my hair when I was a kid and teen, because no one else had curls, lol! I hate that in The Sims 4 now most curly hair come under afro styles, and then we have wavy and strait for everyone else, which isn't fair, since there is plenty other people with curly hair, Whites, especially Irish, like myself, Hispanic, Jewish, and Italians among others have curly hair, not just wavy.

I wish this video wasn't so fast, even when I put the playback speed to the slowest, it was so fast I still couldn't really focus on what I was seeing, I found it nearly impossible to watch and be able to make out things right. It would be nice to see a slower version, maybe even with a narrator explaining things a bit. When I saw it was a video showcasing the Paramaker I was excited, because the character creator of any game is one of the most important things to me in any game with people/characters in it. I really wanted to see how the sliders worked more, since I am still not sure how much we will be able to alter on our Paras, since other life simulation games tend to be limiting, even on things that we should be able to alter if we want. Maybe I will be able slow it down more when the videos comes out on Paralives YouTube channel, since I think their speeds are better, you can slow things down really good on YouTube, since they have a few more speeds then Patreon seems to have, since they only have 3 slow and 4 fast.

I don't know if it was there before, maybe I forgot, but thanks for the numerical values on the sliders! I like the extra precision. The new characters look great, so full of personality just by looking at them and it was nice to see an updated paramaker. I love the new hair too. I can already picture the characters I will make with those assets.

i think the hair should be a light brown or a mid gray by default, bc regardless of the background (which *is* exacerbating the problem) it 's still hard to see the hair style / details when it's that dark a color :/

I really love the high-level selections on the left broken into detail with a new menu coming up on the right! It feels like a good mix of the old-fashioned sliders with the idea of pushing and pulling directly, but keeping it off the face so I can see what I'm doing a bit better. I don't know if I articulated that well but anyway I love it!

It looks amazing and I can’t wait to play! I think I saw you click directly on the para’s feet while the closet was open to pull up the shoes category 👀 Very ingenious ui feature. One thing of note, I noticed all the hairstyle thumbnails are black regardless of the paras hair color on what looks like a shaded transparent background. However, when the paramaker zooms in near the bookshelf those thumbnail backgrounds look very dark, making the black hair in several thumbnails harder to distinguish. I think black hair is a good choice for the default thumbnails so I wonder if the UI backgrounds should be tweaked so that they stay a little lighter to help with the contrast for the player? Just some feedback!

Exaggerated body parts are possible! they were tested in a (I think public) patreon post called "modding the game to create super paras" basically the sliders all have built in limits but those limits can be adjusted with the built in modding tools :)

I was watching this video in the slowest speed & I do have a question. 0:55 the parafolks outlines aren’t as harsh, but when they have their clothing on the outlines on their necks look sharper, are we going to be able to adjust that? Seems a little inconsistent but I do love what I’m seeing so far!

I love how you guys make the bodies of the character realistic to real life. They all look natural! I was really wondering if we would be able to make over exaggerated body parts? For some characters, for example female paras could we make some of them curvier with bigger bust sizes or glutes? It would be cool to do that for some paras ! And it would be nice if some body shapes could be genetic or passed down to an offspring para. Good job once again team! ❤️

I love the train idea and think it would make such a fun Easter egg! 🚂✨ • Maybe sometimes you spot a train in the distance, just hinting that there’s something bigger out there and more worlds to explore . • Eventually, we could get the Paradox International Train Station, where Parafolks can actually travel between worlds. • The station’s address could even be 0145 (or just 145), a little nod to Maggie’s reveal at 1:45,bc that’s when the gaming community was introduced to paralives. • There could even be a hidden storyline, like finding a missing para’s ticket. • Or imagine going to a fortune teller and they reveal little fragments of your soulmate’s train ticket 🫶. • And a passport system would be amazing!! It could work like a travel log/photo album, with stamps and snapshots from everywhere your para has been.

What a long way the team has come from the early look at the paramaker to now! I’m honestly floored at the number of some of the options (with even more planned), and the detailed customization looks like a perfect way to tweak the presets you’ve made available. When I saw the subcategories for shoes, I think my jaw dropped that “shoe type” was an option. Just a big standing ovation for your hard work! Can’t wait to get it day one 😎🥳

2. We have ages in the background but they will be displayed as lifestage, for exemple Young adult is between 18-30, adult 30-60, elder 60+ ect. For now there's no way to select a specific age outside of a cheat code but maybe we'll add that later 3. I don't think so but maybe it's the UI that's smaller 4. Yes they're a work in progress 5. looks great! i love vids like this where you just take us through it :) i have a few thoughts tho.. firstly, i find it strange that the hair swatches have a different look from all the others¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 2. the ages aren't really clear? they all kinda look the same to me.. 3. did you shrink the colour wheel? it looks really small here 4. I'm assuming not all the diagrams are done? 5. i like the train ticket idea, its cute but it also seems a bit random? considering you've removed the postcard "theme" are you guys planning on bringing that back? (for live mode or PAM since the build mode theme seems pretty settled and looks amazing?) 6. as for that bar at the very top right with the white buttons, are you guys planning on organizing / putting in dropdown menus to clean it up or will it stay as is? 7. it would be AMAZING if hair could be in the "Clothing" section instead! so we could change hair styles with the outfit :) 8. i might be wrong... but you didn't show the skin-colour-wheel in this video? is there a reason? 9. can you still simply click on the Para to open the corresponding diagram? or does it have to be through a menu? I'm really impressed by the paramaker features there's a lot to look forward to. A pattern I've noticing since the beginning is that you guys don't make "Perfect bodies" Barbie's and ken's type of models. You just reflect society as it is. So real yet so wholesome. these little details matter because it shows an identity and effort to not just be all perfect and that same direction goes for the world and buildings too. You deserved what's coming for you. life imitates art, art imitates life.

Might be Young Adult -> Adult -> Middle-Aged -> Elder? I think they talked about wanting to have a transitional stage like that between mature adulthood and elderhood, so you're not just going straight from "like 40 with a few wrinkles" to "gray-haired arthritic octogenarian."
