Progress 21.06.17
🕑 Added 2017-06-21 22:08:37 +0000 UTC Here is a quick little update on how things are moving along.Initially I wanted to redo all the animations and add new ones for this next update. But I also want to make these as good as possible, because, lets face it, the ones that are already implemented are not that good. They are made by me personally, and I had no prior experience with making animations when I made them, I just knew that I wanted to have animations to make everything look realistic.
Luckily I have talked to a guy that is excellent at making animations now, for those of you that are using WickedWhims, you might know his work, the guy I am talking about is Mike24. Thing is, he is a busy fellow, with his own Patreon page and animations, but he has promised to help me out, and last we spoke he said he could give me a couple new smoking blunt and joint animations by the end of this month.
So that leads me to the next version of the mod, again, I need to switch things around a bit regarding the post I made called Things To Come and rather put in the new animations whenever he is done with them, as I really don't want to stress him on this, but rather let him work when he feels like it so he can enjoy doing it and eventually all the animations will fall into place.
So, my plan as of right now is to jump straight into the addiction and overdosing side of the Mod. I have a rough idea on how to implement this, but it will involve a lot of heavy coding with invisible buffs running in the background. Especially for the drugs like MDMA where you have 5 different pills with different effects and 3-4 different stages on all of them that needs to cancel each other out at specific parts of the stages already, to start implementing new effects on top of this when you take the pills more than once and also give you a chance of being addicted to them will certainly be a lot of work, but gameplay wise it will be so worth it.
All of this means, ultimately, that you most likely won't see a new update coming out this Friday, even though I have tried getting a new update going every Friday lately, as this will be an extensive task, but I have set a timeline for myself to get it out by next Friday. At least I will do my best to get it out by then.
Oh, and I also have some ideas that I want to implement to the Buy Drugs Event, including exchanging sex for drugs for those Junkie sims that are low on funds. Don't know if I get around to doing that for this update, but I definitely want to implement it somehow. As of right now I am trying to constrain myself in not adding too many new features per new version as that will only delay the updates.
Lastly, I want to just give a massively huge thank you to all of you guys that are supporting me, you are seriously the best, and I love each and every one of you!

I can't smoke with my bong out of the inventory, it'd be cool to be able to smoke continuously without having to bring it back out.

I am so stoked now as I seem to be getting the addiction part and a chance of Overdosing in place. It is a coding nightmare, with a ridiculous amount of buffs that needs to replace one another, cancel each other out, only go off (or not go off) if one of the other buffs is present and so on and so forth, but all the more rewarding when I finally got it semi-functional last night. So far it only works with the high quality speed, so it will be interesting to see how difficult/easy it will be to include it into the low quality as well, and how much work it might be to make sure it runs symbiotic with the other drugs. Either way! One big milestone accomplished, looking forward to finish up on it properly so you can check it out! One love, -Basemental
I don't know about the rest. But I'd say: take your time. We are Lucky that you've made a mod and that it's this good. Animations come when they come, and the next update will come when it comes. I for one rather have an update now and then that has a good improvement level than to have one every few days that has low level improvement. I appreciate your hard work and time you put into this to make and test it so we can blow our sims' minds away. No pun intended, I think ;-)

I know, right? Really stoked to get his animations into the mix as I feel it can lift the Mod even further. If I got someone really great at making meshes for new cc items on board as well now, it would be insane :)

Oh yea, mikes awesome! I have been supporting onikay kinky world (for sims 3) and wickedwhims (for sims 4) off and on for the last 2 half years. I know wickedwhims has only been around for about a year, but before mike started to animate for wickedwhims he started out with oniki kay kinky world. And some of his animations werent so good, but now, he's really really amazing at animating!
Thank you so much for your hard work, just take your time.

Please take your time. No need to rush at all. We support you for a reason. 💯👌🏽
Thankyou so much you!!
I'm sure it will be worth the wait .. maybe those animations could include smoking blunts or such with friends, that would be awesome.
