벌써 패트리언을 시작한지 약 3년정도 되었네요. 항상 마감하기로 한 기간도 제대로 못맞추고, 말만 앞세워 실망을 드렸음에도 여기까지 함께 와주신 분들께 고맙다는 말씀을 드리고싶습니다. 여러분들이 계시지 않았다면 제가 그림을 그리는게 불가능했을겁니다. 사실 그림을 포기하고 가게일에 전념하려고 했으나, 소소하게라도 집 사정에 도움이 되면 좋지 않을까? 해서 시작한게 패트리언이거든요.

It's already been about three years since I started being a Patreon. I want to say thank you to those who came here even though I always failed to meet the deadline, and I was disappointed with just words. I wouldn't be able to paint without you. I was going to give up painting and concentrate on my shop work, but I started it because I thought, "Wouldn't it be good to help the house situation even if it was small?"

다름이 아니라... 이번 아이리스 작업을 마무리짓고 대략 6개월~ 길면 1년정도 휴식을 하려고 합니다. 휴식하는 동안은 평소 패트리언 쉴때처럼 출금이 안되게 막아둔채로 그대로 열어둘 것입니다. 그림은 추가보상과 비슷하게, 가끔씩 올려드리려고 합니다. 뭐 배포할만한 그림이있다 싶으면 올려드리기도 하구요.
It's nothing but... After finishing this iris work, I'm going to take a break for about 6 months to a year. I will leave it open during the break as it is during the usual Patreon break. Of course, no donations will be withdrawn during that period.
I'm going to upload drawing from time to time, like additional rewards.
장기휴식을 결정하게 된 이유는... 최근 몸의 상태가 급격히 나빠져, 현재와 같은 페이스로 작업을 유지하는게 사실상 불가능해졌습니다. 3년을 거치며 조금씩 안좋아지긴 했는데, 그래도 어떻게든 해왔었거든요... 근데 최근 아픈것들은 단발성으로 끝나는게 아니라 앞으로 죽을때까지 저를 괴롭힐만한 것들이라서... 장기적인 요양이 필요하다고 생각했습니다.
쉬는 기간동안 운동도 빡세게 하고, 치료도 잘 받아서 강해진 모습으로 돌아오도록 하겠습니다.
The reason I decided to take a long break is that... Recently, my physical condition has deteriorated rapidly, making it virtually impossible to maintain my work at the current pace. After three years, it got worse little by little, but I managed to do something about it. But recently, the things that hurt don't end up being one-off, but they're something that'll haunt me until I die. I thought I needed long-term care.
During the break, I will exercise hard and receive treatment well so that I can come back stronger.
그리고 무엇보다 휴식을 결심하게 된 가장 큰 이유는... 그림을 그리는게 더이상 재밌지가 않아요. 질려서 못그리겠다, 배가 불러서 못그리겠다 같은 부정적인 의미가 아니라... 그림을 그리는게 힘들어요. 제 자신에게 거는 기대는 날이갈수록 늘어가는데, 제 실력이 그걸 따라가지 못하고 있습니다.
And more than anything, the biggest reason I decided to take a break... It's no longer fun to paint. It's not a negative meaning like "I can't draw because I'm tired of it" or "I'm full." It's hard to draw. My expectations for myself are increasing day by day, but my skills are not keeping up with them.
문제는 이런 과정에서 제 그림에 대한 피드백과 다른 방식을 시도하는게 필요한데, 패트리언을 하면서는 이것이 불가능합니다. 제 작업 방식 상 본 그림 위에 올라갈 레이어들이나 옵션까지 예상하고 작업을 해야하다보니, 저도 모르게 새로운것을 안하게 됩니다. 못하는 것과 안하는것은 정말 큰 차이인데, 분명히 선택지가 있음에도 고르지 않았다는 것이 최근의 저를 많이 괴롭혔습니다. 실제로도 이번해들어 항상 하고있는 고민이기도 했구요...
그래서 아예 장기적으로 시간을 두고 그림 공부도 해서 실력을 키워보려고 합니다. 부족한 인체부터 묘사방식, 색상까지 노려보고는 있는데 어떨지는 모르겠네요... 오히려 이렇게 거창하게 말해놓고 돌아왔을때 별 차이가 없으면 어쩌지? 같은 고민도 듭니다.
The problem is that in this process, I need to try a different way from the feedback on my painting, which is impossible to do while I'm a Patreon. Because of my way of working, I have to anticipate the layers and options that will be on top of this picture, so I don't do anything new without realizing it. It's a big difference between not being able to do it and not doing it, and it's been bothering me a lot recently that I didn't choose even though I had options. It's been a concern that I've been thinking about this year.
So I'm going to study painting and improve my skills. I wish I could be better myself.
원래는 아이리스를 마무리짓고 올리려고 했는데, 아이리스가 지금... 파일하나가 너무 끔찍해서 계속 고통받느라 진척상황이 좀 느립니다. 그렇기에 공지글을 먼저 올리게 되었어요. 마지막까지 이런 모습을 보여드리게 되어 죄송합니다... ㅠㅠ

之前投票的时候我就说过没有必要每个月都需要大家来决定你想画什么内容。你有些时候需要为自己喜欢而画。但不用担心，只要你还会更新，我就会一直支持你。多多注意身体呀

发布这样的消息肯定是很艰难的，但我会一直支持你。如果觉得画画有时候会很艰难，那就请画自己想画的。

I'm sure this wasn't an easy decision, but I support it! I would have preferred to be able to continue supporting you while you're taking a break, but I understand if you don't feel right about charging your Patreon supporters while on a break. While you're away I'll make sure to buy some of your Gumroad sets that are missing from my collection. Rest well!
