Was she charged per letter for engraving lol? Idk maybe if she cared more about including herself and didn’t know or like the wife well it might make sense. Optimistically, it reads more as she’s narcissistic, doesn’t like the wife, and/or is oblivious to how this could be interpreted wrong

The fact that the wife brought it up as a big issue to confront his sister about does make me wonder if she has a good reason to disapprove! If this happened to me I’d definitely just shrug and move on, why look for drama? Enjoy being married and having lots of presents! 😅

I was starting to feel like the crazy one lol before the update, I said to myself she put the initials as a “to & from” and maybe she didn’t put the wife’s in case they don’t stay together or maybe they’re just not close! My immediate thought is that it was regifted or stolen. Like maybe an ex gave it to the sister and she thought she could play it off so she could just reuse it for a wedding gift.

Am I the only one who is giving the sister the benefit of the doubt here?? Both my Grandma and Great Grandma would put their initials on sentimental gifts they gave to everyone for the same reason- so the recipient would remember who it was from! Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but I do believe some people really do have good intentions. Sometimes they're just executed poorly LOL

My sister in law got us a personalised print for Christmas, there’s four hearts descending in size meant to represent myself, my partner and our two kids. Under each heart is our names and my name is the only name without a capital letter and I’m 100% convinced that it was a micro passive aggressive move because she’s made it very clear she does not like me. There was also a time she wanted my partner to ‘tuck her in’ when she was poorly that just grossed me out. So this behaviour is not uncommon 😬🤷🏻‍♀️
