A fresh start. A bold leap into the unknown.

One of the many morals of Sileo is to not be afraid of taking leaps of faith. Sometimes, when you're unhappy or suffering, the unfamiliar can often seem preferable to the familiar misery. Of course, Adrian took a leap of faith that landed him in Woodcrest and despite some rocky situations in some of the routes, overall, it went quite well!
When I originally wrote that line, I hearkened back to times in past where I'd made rash decisions which had turned out in my favor. I'm sure we've all had experiences like that, but I had ADHD. ADHD makes you impulsive. Thus, I have a lot of experiences like that.
And today? I've added another to the pile. Oh boy. He were go again.
This morning, I quit my job without notice. I do not have another lined up.
Reckless I know, but sometimes, you just have to do these things. To cut a long story short, my employer had progressively made my job worse and worse over an extended period of time. The aforementioned ADHD was practically being used as a weapon against me, my tasks seemingly designed to be the antithesis of what I was best at or could find tolerable. It had been happening for a while and my requests to have my condition accommodated in small ways that would dramatically improve my quality of life were either met with false promises or outright dismissal.
It was my birthday on Monday. They not only refused me leave, but made sure it was the worst day I have worked possibly ever. It took everything I had not to quit then and there, but cooler heads prevailed. I had Tuesday off, so I spent that time pondering my options. Now, it's Wednesday morning. My shift is due to start in an hour. And they're going to be very surprised when they check their emails!
Believe me, they got the FULL Xevvy treatment! No doubt the most lengthy, thorough and articulate 'fuck you' they've ever received! And that naturally means that I am now a free man! Yay! ...
...shit.
So, yeah. This is one of those times where I wish my share of the Sileo money was enough to cover my expenses... but, it's not. Unfortunately, I live in New Zealand and if there's one thing you've got to know about New Zealand, it's expensive. My costs can hardly be cut back any further than they already have been, and that spells problems.
I'm going to be exploring some avenues to see what I can do about bumping up my income. With how thinly spread I have been as of late, I'm really hoping to find a way in that I can make Sileo my main focus. In a way, making Sileo is my dream job and while it doesn't quite pay the bills just yet, with enough hard work and dedication, maybe it just will!
And of course any help you guys can lend would be most appreciated as well! Be sure to tell your friends about Sileo and if you haven't gotten your name in the credits yet, maybe now is the time? ;)
I'll keep you guys updated on what happens. If I can find a way to make Sileo my primary focus, I will, so cross your fingers and your toes!

That was bold indeed, but if you feel it was for the best I wish you the best of luck on getting the future you strive to have. Edit: I just updated my membership to 7, as I just got a part-time job (I don't know if they'll renovate my contract when it's due), it might not be much but I hope it helps even if just one bit.

We're looking into the idea of tying merch to our tiers which will give a $30 tier a very good reason to exist. Stay tuned on that one

I wish you luck. I myself have escaped a job that I hated in the past. A reckless change is sometimes better then no change. I would recommend perhaps making a higher teir for donations. I currently donate $15, but would be willing to give more.
