I love how often Justin says "this isn't medieval times!!!" It cracks me up everytime. A lot of the situations are a norm from say like the 20s with gender roles, but he takes it way back to medieval times 🤣

OP should go to her mom and say, “I’ve never been a bridesmaid just wondering if these are normal obligations and costs to be in a wedding party” then show the mom the message. She said her mom would not tolerate this behavior. Since mom has been on brother and Jessica’s side, OPs brother may be more open to her opinion rather than OPs after she has been openly not accepting of the relationship

I’m sorry Morgan but your take on this is not it. If anyone tried to impose those types of rules on me, I would absolutely back out in a heartbeat. And in reality, you know you would too. Not sure this is the time to double down on a ”you made a commitment” argument. If you were in this position I have a very hard time believing you would “stick it out” as you say.

I think having those screen shots of the bridal party "rules" is enough an she should quietly dismiss herself from the wedding. And if anyone asks why, she can show them the "rules" and say she is unable to follow the parameters set by the bride. I don't think she was off/wrong for saying she would be on the bride side with alterier motives. She wanted to see if maybe the fiancee had changed for the better or not. And she got her answer. A definite NOT.

Whenever I hear about someone being a bully I think about how they would treat their child. Imagine their kid having a ED or general disordered eating due to her comments to her own child. I could never be with someone who could potentially be that.
