As being someone going against the grain, I don't agree with people saying your opinion on the pregnant lady with GD is wrong. I had GD while pregnant and had to go vegetarian until term 3. I never made my partner change his eating habits or stop drinking for me. WE worked together to find good yummy sugar free options that didn't spike my glucose levels, so I didn't have to give up anything due to it. People freaking out about the partner eating when he's out of the house didn't put any effort in finding treat solutions. There are thousands of women who get GD, and find ways to coupe with it. Why make your partner change too. The partner should be supporting the pregnant woman, getting midnight snacks and find yummy alternatives. I'm also a nurse and help my patients through these issues. Imposing on your partner causes issues. Don't use your hormones a an excuse. Take a second breathe and remember this is only temporary.
