I wonder if the mom (SIL) always makes excuses for her daughter and that has contributed to the divorce as well as the bad decisions. I can understand a 15 year old being really emotional and acting out, but not to this degree and even with all that’s going on it’s appropriate for the mom to do something about it.

I used thinx (I don’t have periods now due to birth control) but I loved the “shorts” and the thongs for lighter days. They were comfortable and I didn’t get panty lines. I think there is a lawsuit against thinx and another company though for the chemicals used in them. I would definitely do some research before purchasing, and if I need them again I’m going to look further into the lawsuit.

Came here to say the same thing!! It can be a little rough emptying it at first but once you get used to it it’s soooooo much better than tampons! And they make my period shorter somehow

I have been getting vaginal irritation lately with tampons regardless of flow/how full the tampon is. GIRL. GET A MENSTRUAL CUP!!! It has literally changed my life. You can BARELY feel it (if anything), use a lot LESS toilet paper, no leakage, and it’s better for the environment plus cost effective! I paid like $20 bucks for mine, but now I never have to spend money on tampons/pads again! It’s good for up to 10 years and is made of medical grade silicone. Depending on flow, you can wear it 8-12 hours, but even at my heaviest flow, I made it through a whole 8 hour workday with a 45 min commute each way and didn’t leak at all. HIGHLY recommend.
