I say JFC on the reg as a recovering catholic. I would not want to be tone policed especially while in the most intense moment in life! I’d ask for a new doctor. I’ve given birth 4 times and I would have had the same response as the op.

I can say on my first birth, I was in a catholic hospital and after 2 days of contractions getting worse and worse, I definitely yelled Jesus fucking Christ as well. I ended up getting an epidural and apologized if I did come across harsh and the nurse was like “I have 4 daughters you’re fine” 😂 Labor puts you in such a weird state of mind and it’s all a blur. That doctor was out of line and should have known to stfu

I went all natural (not by choice) and I yelled every curse word at every nurse and doctor around me. They were nothing but comforting and caring through all of it.
