Okay so I just watched the live show replay on Moment and had to chime in somewhere on the modern vs holistic medicine conversation... I think the context completely changes based on what specifically it's about! Want to do acupuncture as part of your fertility journey? Great! Use crystals as part of your spirituality to boost energy/reduce anxiety/etc.? Great! Withholding life saving medical care from someone else because you think that person drinking tea tree oil and standing on their head will cure them? Not so much. The discussion made me think of that awful case recently where the religious group was on trial for murder after withholding insulin from a little girl who died in agony over a period of days... I don't think holistic medicine was used in that case but it speaks to my point about withholding medical care. Totally different conversation if you're talking about alternatives to paracetamol vs alternatives to things like insulin in terms of the repercussions Also take this as a plug to watch the replay on Moment if anyone wants the full context lol it was a great show
