i just joined patreon, and jerry’s story about after his mother passed away reminded me of the dream i had after my dad passed. So my dad passed in 2021 in mexico. I left to mexico the next morning at 5am after failing to get some sleep. I made it to his funeral and everything. a week later i come back to Kansas, it took me a while to go back to my house cause i wasn’t ready to be alone just yet. the following week, the first night i stayed at my apartment i dreamt my dad came into my room and say goodbye and gave me a hug. and when he walked out the door i woke up in tears. i truly believe he came to say goodbye.

i’m so late…. but I just joined patreon so i’m BINGEING!!! you mentioned the story about the man in Council Bluffs, Iowa who got stuck behind the freezers at a grocery story & they didn’t find his body until 15 years later. any chance you heard that story from a my favorite murder minisode? if so, that was MY listener story. I was shocked to hear you mention that story bc council bluffs isn’t a very well known city (I grew up in Omaha NE, right across the river). & I don’t remember the story making national news.

Ok shout tf out to Jerry for giving Roberta a judgment free job for a large chunk of her life. I can’t imagine how hard and uninviting most work environments must to for those with DID, and he probably helped her more than he’ll ever realize by just being accepting and keeping her there despite the DID.
