NOLA has the original delphine lalaurie house that AHS Coven was based off of and you WILL end up with an attachment if you walk under the awning like the tour we went on the tour guide refuses to walk under it and will not take the tourists underneath but if you really want to after the tour of course he cant stop you but the stories of people who did were insane. Some of the places we went to I would take pictures of too and there was this one place where I swear there was this absolute demonic looking figure with yellow eyes staring at me through the window but I didn't see it until looking back through pics after the tour and I had such a reaction I started crying uncontrollably just looking at it and ended up deleting the pic cause I couldn't handle it

I think he meant embarrassing as in he did stuff he knew he shouldn’t have by pressuring the entity. More so embarrassed by his own stupidity and naivety? Probably not groping the ghost-Atleast we can hope not ..😅

This freaks me out so badly! I live in WV and go camping in Shawnee and have never heard of that place 😳

Late to the party on this episode, I don't know if any of you ladies had friends that lived in Anderson House Apartments near the U (ofM) during school. I did right after I graduated for a couple months, but it was an abandoned hospital with BAD vibes. The washers/dryers were in the old basement incinerator room, I ran so fast (as fast as I could with a bunch of laundry) back to my room every time. Half the ballroom-sized room was blocked off with a massive fence and just a bunch of random shit piled to the ceiling behind it. It didn't help that it wasn't the final basement floor, so the stairwell kept going down into dark. That place was so creepy.

the motto of those schools were to “ kill the Indian, save the man” part of genocide of Native American people and their culture. It’s really sad, interesting to hear Morgan’s take since she lives in the Canadian boarder

Talking about assimilation
Jessica
A good rule of thumb overall really

Definitely. Its reminding me of the conversation with Molly on disabilities. Just ask. :)

It’s so different based on country/region/tribe/community/treaty/individual! Indigenous is what we use in Canada as a very broad term, but it’s still not always the best option! Ask the individual, use what they like, and it’ll be the right thing to use!

Thank you for sharing the terms differences based on the country! I've seen many creators on titkok in the states say they prefer the term Native so its good to know there's a majority that prefer this term elsewhere.

Yes, please share! I'm glad someone brought this up, especially around Indigenous People's day.

Just wanted to pop on to mention, the schools you were talking about are called residential schools in Canada and we use Indigenous Peoples, not native - this is obviously different in ever country, but for anyone referring to this in Canada specifically, I thought I’d put it out there! Residential schools were attempted/actual cultural and actual genocide - if the kids wouldn’t/couldn’t assimilate to standards they were killed. They were exposed to illnesses they hadn’t before and it killed them. There were 1000’s of cases of rape against indigenous children by the leaders of these schools (mostly Catholic nuns and priests) that often resulted in young girls being pregnant and killed or having their babies killed. The horrors are immense, and for anyone reading this, please let me know if you’d like some more official things to read about it!
