This was wild to hear because I was actually born with the cord wrapped multiple times around my neck. I was fully purple, not breathing. The doctor had to unwrap it and was holding me upside down, hitting my back to get me to breathe. My mom says she can still remember how quiet the room got and the doctor semi-whispering 'come on, baby.. come on, baby...' They don't even know how long it was like that because there had been no signs of distress (wild!) My mom had said a few times it really was a miracle I didn't end up with severe brain damage and I don't think I ever realized until now how true that statement was! I am almost positive my mom said my APGAR score was 2
