You can get away if things are 0 gravity/flowing in the air and you dont need many collisions. S26 handles a bit better collisions but lacks some custom forces. XP cannot handle collisions almost at all but you can do more fancy stuff. None of the two cache reliably (especially xp you will lose your sims) so keep in mind whichever you choose per shot, export always as alembics. If it's a big project I 'd hire someone to do that part though as there is also Marvelous that can do some stuff really well! Cheers!

Amazing man (as usual) I was playing with your most recent tutorials specifically the S26 cloth system and I really liked and saw the potential. You still think XP is still in a superior place comparing to S26? specially the turbulence and field flow issue :) I'm asking this because I have a big project coming in and I'm debating which one to use (unfortunately I'm still not quite there with Houdini lol). thanks man :)

Thanks. You can create a scene name it new.c4d and place it in c4d.exe location. I think after r21 u can create a scene with the parameters u like and go to menus/window/customisation/ Save as Default Scene

Great tutorial! How do you set up a new c4d file that has already the lights and camera, that is something I wanted to do instead of always dragging a folder organization into the project.
