Watching this tutorial in 2022, the latest X particles is handling the dynamics much much better! The bug you mention is also not apparent now.

Hi Jason, the main reason is the amount of softbodies this method can do in 2-3 minutes. Other than that I prefer C4D native sb behavior, its just they cant handle either the dense geo neither many objects. Take a look the part B of tutorial u will see also another approach for different results. If i had the option to use c4d sb only , i d be all in! They are too slow though

Nice! I really appreciate both the walk through the problems and clever solutions / hacks. It would be really cool to know the big reasons why you prefer this X Particles soft body workflow to the Cinema 4d native one.
