in soft bodies u do not use another object this is only for rigid bodies. With newer cloth system u wont find a need for proxies in softbodies.

For the proxy workflow of soft bodies, how do you decide when to use Mesh deformer, when to use Another object and when to use Instance object method?

Thanks a lot :) Thats my purpose exactly. I am always in the look out of simple techniques that serve a visual language. I ll go bit more heavy soon with xp though :D
