Status, Fortune Cards Redesign and Development Plan
🕑 Added 2021-06-12 19:41:10 +0000 UTCI'm currently overwhelmed by college and some other unannounced projects that might or might not be related to the focus of this Patreon. As a consequence, this month did not start on the right foot in terms of posting content, and many have unsubscribed.
In the latest blog post, I clarified that the quest fronts production will be on hold to prioritize designing The Deck of Many Fortunes, and I have been into it. I created an XLS file to compile data from many sources about the tarot cards. I'm leaving this XLS available as a Lorekeeper tier reward; this is the basis I use to design the fortune cards.
QUEST FRONTS - ISSUE #1 ON ITS WAY
As the first print-on-demand product with a book format that I ever created, the first issue of Quest Fronts magazine demanded more work than the artist and I anticipated, but it is already in the hands of the printer.
At this point, we're waiting for the proof copy to arrive and then I'll make public its store page. So that project is no longer something that will take up my time, as the rest of the work is not on my side.
With the experience we've gathered with that magazine, we already know how to work on a second issue, and more importantly, on the Ironcrunch rulebook when the time comes for me to get my hands on it.
FORTUNE CARDS REDESIGN
Thanks to Solanaar's feedback about the presentation of the fortune cards, I went to my artist and discussed their visual design.
This will be the definitive format.
FORTUNES DEVELOPMENT PLAN
To adjust the fact that the quest fronts production is on hold and has been replaced by the designing of the fortune cards, I tweaked the tiers rewards accordingly, removing quest fronts and adding fortune cards.
I'm aiming to develop The Deck of Many Fortunes (78 tarot cards) in 4 months. During that time, you'll get a preview of all the cards.
Then, patrons will get a digital complimentary copy and a free discount code for the printed deck.
