Wanted to vote for starship troopers but any discussion has to talk about the source material in depth too.
Wouldn't it be so fun to talk about a film that was so ridiculously misunderstood upon its release, made by a director whose output was and still is largely misunderstood, but whose cleverly satirical critiques of fascism, capitalism, religion, etc are now undergoing a cultural reappraisal and newly found appreciation? I mean, really, doesn't that make Starship Troopers the most timely of all these options?
