This is a tough one... Lady Bird would be a fantastic insight into Greta’s world, while District 9 would tap into the best sci fi chatter this gang has to offer. But man is Talented Mr. Ripley a masterclass in storytelling craft 🙈, one of Minghella’s finest. RIP. Gonna naively hold onto this choice

Lady Bird would be awesome, but I randomly saw some District 9 clips recently and they were enough to make me surprisingly emotional! I feel like the stuff about immigration enforcement and alien internment camps hits even harder for me in 2021 than it did in 2009, so I'd love to hear the gang's thoughts on that.

Oh man, thanks! This would certainly be a great excuse to watch it again; I haven't seen it since that award season! (I usually do big screenings with themed meals for all of the Oscar movies leading up to the show... I think for Lady Bird we had "school lunch" aka bagel pizzas, sandwiches, lunchables, apple slices, veggies, and homemade classic chocolate chip cookies! I miss Oscar season, ya'll.)
