You're absolutely right. Any of the roles for other students would be filled by Lenny/Carl/whoever in later episodes. But I like documenting the one-off weirdos!

“The Way We Was” really ended up being a goldmine of one-off characters that we mostly never see again - probably because it’s the first flashback episode and most of the other flashback episodes still feature characters that show up in episodes set in the present
