🕑 Added 2024-05-20 08:00:03 +0000 UTCThe referee in the wrestling match can be heard counting in front of the blank-faced crowd, so he gets a number instead of shamefully relegated to "bonus" like so many before him. It's faint, but it's there!
This guy has no significant appearances after this, as far as I can tell. The next big televised bout is in "Homer vs. Lisa and the Eighth Commandment" and has a completely different referee (which makes sense, that's a boxing match, not a wrestling match - but normally you'd expect them to reuse the design anyway.)
Often I use Simpsons Wiki(s) to research further appearances of a character like this - but this referee doesn't even have his own dedicated page! We'll remember him - for today, at least.
