Regal’s Office.
Three months after the release of [Spider-Man: Web of Destiny], the film had finally run its course in most major territories.
Theaters that once struggled to keep up with demand were now clearing space for the next wave of releases, including [Harry Potter].
The numbers, however, told a story that few in the industry could ignore.
Regal received the final consolidated report on his desk - a document stacked with figures, charts, and analysis.
But for him, it wasn’t just paper.
It was proof of what he had set in motion.
….
Week-by-Week Box Office Totals:
| Week 1 (July 5–11, 2013)
-> Domestic: $142.8M | International: $150.3M
-> Worldwide: $293.1M
….
The debut week was seismic.
Audiences flooded in across North America and beyond. Few openings in history had ever broken the $290M barrier in a single week, and [Web of Destiny] did so with ease.
….
| Week 2 (July 12–18, 2013)
-> Domestic: $72.1M | International: $98.4M
-> Worldwide: $170.5M
-> Cumulative: $463.6M
….
The drop was expected, but the hold was remarkable. Word of mouth and repeat viewings kept the film buoyant. Families and teenagers alike returned for second and third screenings.
….
| Week 3 (July 19–25, 2013)
-> Domestic: $48.6M | International: $76.3M
-> Worldwide: $124.9M
-> Cumulative: $588.5M
….
By its third week, the film had crossed the half-billion mark.
Marvel’s hero was firmly lodged in global pop culture. Merchandise sales soared alongside ticket sales.
….
| Week 4 (July 26–Aug 1, 2013)
-> Domestic: $29.9M | International: $63.1M
-> Worldwide: $93.0M
-> Cumulative: $681.5M
….
| Week 5 (Aug 2–8, 2013)
-> Domestic: $21.6M | International: $55.7M
-> Worldwide: $77.3M
-> Cumulative: $758.8M
….
| Week 6 (Aug 9–15, 2013)
-> Domestic: $15.8M | International: $46.4M
-> Worldwide: $62.2M
-> Cumulative: $821.0M
….
The mid-run weeks showed remarkable resilience overseas, especially in Asia and Europe. Where most superhero films began to fade, Web of Destiny maintained a grip on audiences who had embraced its unique tone.
….
| Week 7 (Aug 16–22, 2013)
-> Domestic: $10.5M | International: $38.9M
-> Worldwide: $49.4M
-> Cumulative: $870.4M
….
| Week 8 (Aug 23–29, 2013)
-> Domestic: $7.4M | International: $35.2M
-> Worldwide: $42.6M
-> Cumulative: $912.9M
….
| Week 9 (Aug 30–Sept 5, 2013)
-> Domestic: $5.6M | International: $29.8M
-> Worldwide: $35.4M
-> Cumulative: $948.3M
….
The ninth week was the milestone everyone waited for. Crossing $900M had seemed inevitable, but the march toward a billion was no longer just a dream.
….
| Weeks 10–11 (Sept 6–19, 2013)
-> Domestic: $12.7M | International: $41.6M
-> Worldwide: $54.3M
-> Final Cumulative: $1.002B
….
At last, the number appeared in bold on Regal’s report. [Web of Destiny] had officially entered the billion-dollar club. A landmark achievement for MDC, Red Studio, and for Regal himself.
….
Final Worldwide Box Office is: $1,002,000,000 ($1.002B)
And from that, the Studio/Distributor Revenue (≈45%) will be: $450.9M
For Regal, the calculations went deeper.
He hadn’t just been a director or a writer - he was an investor.
- His direct investment, 40% of film budget will be: $93.3M
- And his shareholder cut from MDC (40% stake) will be: $52.36M
Therefore, his total personal earnings will be: $145.66M
….
Regal leaned back in his chair as the numbers sank in.
One hundred and forty-five million from a single film - not counting the long tail of merchandise, licensing, and the cultural footprint Spider-Man would carry for years.
Most in Hollywood would have celebrated.
For Regal, it was confirmation.
Proof that his instincts weren’t reckless gambles but calculated steps.
Spider-Man had conquered the world.
Now it was Harry Potter’s turn.

(【┘】- 77 days of Accumulated Rewards)
•---------------------------•
Regal's finger hovered over the confirmation. Seventy-seven days of accumulated rewards from a film that had exceeded every expectation. He selected [Y].
The System responded immediately, data cascading across his vision like digital rain:
•---•
「Ding! User successfully collected Spider-Man: Web of Destiny] rewards!」
[Total View Count:] 123,032,904
[Total EP Earned:] 61,516,452
「Your total EP is now: 5,316,839 + ↑61,516,452 = 66,833,291」
•---•
Over sixty-one million Experience Points(:EP) in a single collection.
His total EP had jumped from just over five million to nearly sixty-seven million.
In the System's economy, he had just become one of the wealthiest. With this, he could easily push all his remaining skills up to [World Class] - but he didn’t.
The reason was simple: slots.
He only had four.
If he rushed and upgraded [Drawing] or [Acting] now, he would be locked in.
No room to swap [World Class] ranks later…
So he held back.
“Now with sixty-six million EP…”
The thought nagged at him.
What should he do?
Regal had already spent a fortune of EP acquiring the [Iron Man 1] script - that investment would keep paying for a while.
For now, it was time to check the rewards.
He pulled in the [Achievement Available] notification under [Spider-Man: Web of Destiny].
•--------•
「Ding! User has collected the [Achievement Reward] for surpassing 1B USD box office for the second time!」
「Ding! User has received: [Title Token] x1, [Search Token] x2 as the [Achievement Reward]!」
•--------•
“Finally. Title Tokens.” A grin tugged at his lips. “I thought it would be another skill slot for hitting a billion again… not that the last one wasn’t useful.”
•-------[ITEMS]-------•
» [Johnwick] x1
» [Transformers] x1
» [How To Train Your Dragon] x1
» [Kung Fu Panda] x1
» [Title Token] x1
» [Search Token] x2
•---------------------•
“Alright… two [Search Tokens], one [Title Token].” He tapped his fingers on the desk, weighing his options. “One of those searches is definitely going toward [Deadpool]… but the [Title Token]?”
He leaned back, muttering to himself.
“What’s the smartest way to use that one?”
His gaze shifted toward the collection of untouched scripts sitting in his [Item] list.
Each one was the result of every EP he had poured into the [Bulletin Board], snapping up anything worthwhile before it slipped away.
And he had landed treasures - [John Wick], the sharp new face of modern action, and [Kung Fu Panda], a surefire bridge into the booming Chinese market.
But above them all, one title stood like a crown jewel.
“Transformers…” He whispered.
That script wasn’t just valuable, it was a seismic weapon.
He knew the day it reached theaters, the industry would never be the same.

I would like to see some parodies like Everybody in Panic, milking every type of cliche. I miss dumb comedy on cinema, and the new Top Gun was good but not spectacular like the first or second. Transformers was meh, I only saw the first 2 because Megan Fox and robots heat, word of mouth. Greetings from Brazil and I like this Hollywood fic, just don't exaggerate on the skills, I saw one where the MC was a actor and gained randomly a characteristic of the character played, he played Doctor Who and became a hidden Super Soldier

I guess kinda. The thing about Transformers is it's almost entirely made for the asian box office. Hollywood wise I guess it's kinda important. Transformers was the proof of concept for making big budget Hollywood style films for specific markets. Mostly Southeast Asia. Didn't really work anywhere else for movies. But the same idea did work for streaming during it's golden age. Everywhere got big production NA style shows aimed at regional markets and translated for global distribution. Netflix etc got global market share off those productions. Which they probably wouldn't have risked if Transformers hadn't made stupid amounts of money in Asia to prove the concept of not worrying about the domestic box office at all. That franchise could have not opened in NA or EU and still have made billions.

To me the first Transformers was very meh in terms of scripwriting (to say nothing of the sequels, which are also super mid), but it's like a 700mil earning film so it would still be good for a Regal follow-up film after Spiderman and HP, since he seems determined to leave some sort of legacy. There would definitely be whispers about how he's losing his touch though, since it might not top his previous successes, especially the juggernaut he made of Spiderman. That is, unless he does an overhaul of the script to elevate it. I fail to see how it could be improved though, with the story premise being what it is.

Could be another Death Note type rewrite.
A P
Like the Michael Bay movie? I know the effects were great and it made a lot of money but I didn't expect Regal to put the script itself on a pedestal like that.
