It's definitely not live - but it doesn't bother me. You can tell because it's one clean vocal throughout - normally when they sing live they are singing along with backing vocals. The special performances on these types of shows are mostly lipsync - that is across the board for all artists. Not sure why but I expect its to do with the amount of time the artists have to prepare for them.
