Be sure that script mods are enabled in your game, and that the "SCCO 1.5.5" folder is no more than 1 folder deep inside your mods folder. If you need more help, please join the discord and ask in #general_game_help
the cooking ingredients aren't showing up.

Yep! You can use hers, mine, or both. They do the exact same thing and are compatible.

I've seen a moder most probably LittleMsSam or Scarlet were mentioning they found a solution for this with certain limitations aka recipes, ingredients for which are missing, won't be shown in the list at all. But restaurants and other NPCs are working.

Yes, there is no issues with version 1.5.4 for those without realm of magic. :) But all of the realm of magic files can be removed in this download. The files are separated so you can pick and choose for which packs you own. So I would advise downloading the new one, but you will have no issues with version 1.5.4.
If I don't install this update will the one I currently have continue to work. I haven't bought realm of magic yet

This is currently being worked on. But as Gabriel said, it will stop some feature of the game from working. Like Butlers, Catering, and other NPC's from doing their jobs relating to food and drinks.
I believe Srsly has said this won't be a part of the mod as it would prevent you from getting food from public spaces.
I would like you to have a version that prevents sims from cooking if they don't buy all the ingredients. Thank you,
