DOHYO ~Winter~
🕑 Added 2024-10-03 14:11:55 +0000 UTCOn a bone-chilling winter day, the snow lay thick upon the ground, blanketing the forest in pristine white. The silence was profound, broken only by the occasional rustle of wind that sent snow cascading from the tree branches. Deep in this stillness, a lone Dohyo stood, almost blending into the surrounding snow-covered landscape. In the middle of the dohyo, two women stood facing each other.
Hana and Marico.
They had been rivals since childhood, locking horns countless times. Each spring, their villages held the Sacred Sumo Tournament, where the strongest women competed for their village’s honor. The next tournament was approaching, and to prepare, the two women had decided to test their strength in the snowy forest, far from prying eyes.
Hana was the pride of Harukaze Village. Her pale skin contrasted beautifully with her dark purple hair, tied in a ponytail, and her 175 cm muscular frame was a testament to her dedication. Serious and competitive, she never held back, especially when it came to sumo.
Marico, on the other hand, hailed from Sunamori Village. She was 182 cm tall, with a muscular build, bronzed skin, and short silver hair. Though she had a big-brother-like presence, her burning passion for victory was undeniable. She never accepted defeat.
Without saying a word, the two women stepped toward the center of the dohyo. The wind howled around them, but between them, the air was heavy with anticipation.
"Let's settle this today," Marico said in a low voice.
Hana nodded, a slight smile on her lips. "By spring, we’ll know who's the strongest."
They lowered into a crouch, breathing in sync. In an instant, their massive bodies collided with tremendous force, locking in a grapple. In the freezing air, their heated muscles bulged as they pushed against each other, neither willing to give an inch. Snow swirled around them as their struggle continued, both sweating from the exertion.
“Huff, huff...” Their breaths were labored, but their eyes burned with determination. Marico drove Hana to the edge of the dohyo, but Hana dug in her heels and pushed back, unwilling to yield. They were evenly matched, neither showing any signs of backing down.
Sweat beaded on their brows despite the cold, and they pressed on, refusing to concede. Marico summoned all her strength, pushing Hana to the brink once more, but Hana matched her effort, slowly gaining ground.
“Not bad… but I won’t lose!” Hana screamed in her mind as she threw her entire weight into Marico.
“Damn it, I’m stronger!” Marico thought as she pushed back with everything she had.
Without pause, the two women kept grappling, their muscles straining as they fought for dominance. Alone in the snow-covered forest, only they and the howling wind bore witness to their intense battle.
The fierce struggle continued, and their bodies radiated such heat that steam began rising from them. The snow around the dohyo started to melt, revealing patches of black earth beneath.
“Huff, huff…” Both women were gasping for air, but neither was willing to surrender. Marico, with one final burst of energy, pushed Hana to the edge once again. Yet Hana, refusing to fall, braced herself and shoved Marico back with all her might.
At last, both women collapsed in the center of the dohyo, utterly exhausted.
“That was a good match,” Marico said, her breath still heavy, but a smile tugging at her lips.
“Yeah… There’s still time before spring, but we’ll settle it then,” Hana replied, her tired smile mirroring Marico’s.
Slowly, they stood up and shook hands firmly in the snow, a mutual understanding passing between them. Neither would give up, and they silently vowed to settle things when the time came. As they left the quiet forest, their footprints in the snow and the melted patches around the dohyo were the only remaining signs of their fierce battle.

I love this pairing. I see this is a prequel, probably a few years before their spring match(your first of this series). These two have been equals all those years? I love it!
