DOHYO ~Spring~
🕑 Added 2024-07-16 22:10:16 +0000 UTCAs the Spring Festival approached, a unique tension began to spread through Harukaze Village and Sunamori Village. On this day, the sacred sumo tournament, held under the watchful eyes of the spirits, was an essential ceremony to pray for the villages' prosperity and a source of pride for the villagers.
Harukaze Village was represented by Hana, a beautiful woman standing at 180 cm with a muscular build. Her dark purple hair contrasted strikingly with her fair skin. Her serious dedication to everything she did earned her the trust of the entire village. In contrast, Sunamori Village was represented by Marico, a striking woman with deep-toned skin and short, silver hair. At 185 cm, she was equally muscular and was relied upon by her fellow villagers due to her brotherly demeanor.
Hana and Marico had been childhood friends and rivals since they were young. This sumo tournament held special significance for them. Both were determined to give their all and uphold the pride of their respective villages.
On the day of the tournament, under a clear blue sky, a large crowd gathered in the shrine's courtyard. The forest surrounding the dohyo was in full bloom with cherry blossoms, their pale pink petals dancing in the wind. Red and white curtain adorned the dohyo, and the festive atmosphere was palpable. The cobalt sky added to the sacredness of the scene.
In the center of the sacred dohyo, Hana and Marico faced each other. Despite the lively festival atmosphere, a quiet tension hung between them.
"I won't lose this year, Hana," Marico said with a challenging smile.
"I could say the same to you, Marico," Hana replied with a determined smile of her own.
They crouched low, hands touching the white lines, and their massive bodies collided powerfully. Gripping each other's mawashi tightly, they engaged in a fierce power struggle. The tension in their muscles reverberated through the dohyo, and the spirits and spectators watched with bated breath.
Initially, the two attacked each other with great vigor, but their movements gradually slowed. As it became clear that their strength was evenly matched, a stalemate ensued in the center of the ring. Sweat trickled down their foreheads, and their breathing grew increasingly labored.
"Hu, hu," they panted, resting their chins on each other's shoulders and leaning into one another. It was a brief respite to gather strength for the final showdown.
"Hakkyoi! Hakkyoi!"
The spirits were excited by this intense sumo, and their shouts grew louder.
Summoning their remaining strength, Hana and Marico moved in unison. Their muscles swelled as they pushed against each other with all their might. Yet, despite the fierce clash, their power remained evenly matched.
Breathing heavily and drenched in sweat, Hana and Marico leaned on each other once more.
"Hakkyoi! Hakkyoi!"
The season was spring. The fierce battle between the two women and the passionate cheers of the gods echoed across the sumo ring and spread into the sky.

I love it, equal parts fierce and intimate! No subtlety or trickery, just honest strength against strength, bodies colliding, accepting each other head-on until the contest is decided.

Loved the setting that you came up with and the drawing only enhances the amazing work, from the perfect texture and look of the dohyo to the small details like the sagari on both their mawashi paired with their divine bodies, another great work 💜💜💜
