This is just a proof of concept. I have not optimized this shoe to be worn by any avatar. If you remove the last. the shoe will lose it shape unless if your freeze it.
Rather than the actual shoe patterns, I spend a huge amount of time researching and developing the last. I know that I can just find some finished last online, but this approach seems lacking. I'm not enjoying the finished product, but the process itself.
You can view the model here.
You can download the files here.
This my general steps.
1. Draft the last profile, which include the sole, side and heel. I do this using Freecad.
2. Generate the basic shape of the last using Freecad.
3. Use blender to retopologize and finalize the last. Minimal scupting required.
4. Use blender to make the sole.
5. Import the last into Clo as avatar. Trace the last to make the "last forme"
6. Draw the shoe patterns on the "last forme".
7. Trace the individual shoe pattern pieces.
8 Put a 'sole' layer under the last, then freeze it. This will become tha stable base to sew the pattern pieces.
9. Sew them all together. Best to use stable fabric like full-grain leather.
10. Import the sole as trim.
11. Detailing using topstitch etc.
