Big News Coming This Month for Battle Maidens
🕑 Added 2025-09-08 23:05:10 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
I know it’s been a long while since I’ve given you an update about Battle Maidens, and I want to be fully honest with you about why.
In the past, I ran into several issues with development:
Some of the previous devs that worked on the project ghosted me, or just told me that they got a full time SFW job and couldn't continue, I'm happ for them tho, devs get a good pay T_T.
Talented programmers often walked away because of the NSFW nature of the project.
Other times, the quality just didn’t reach the standard I was aiming for.
On top of that, as many of you know, there were struggles with this very Patreon page, and the constant challenge of finding people who not only love fighting games, but also code well and are comfortable with the Battle Maidens theme. All of that forced me to put things on hold more than once.
But this time… the wait may finally be over.
A talented team of programmers and artists called Melongun reached out to me. They came with genuine interest in the idea, clear proposals for how to bring it to life, and an impressive portfolio of SFW games they’ve already made. After seeing what they can do, I decided to take a chance on them.
Their background? They’ve been working in game development for a while, but like many creatives, they felt limited by the restrictions of traditional SFW companies. So they founded Melongun, focusing on NSFW mini-games where they can unleash their creativity in gameplay and design.
To start, we’ll be doing a small card-based mini-game. Think of it as a first test something that lets us try out UI, design, and overall feel using the Battle Maidens characters.
👉 Important note: this does NOT mean the main 3D cinematic fighting game has turned into a card game. This is just a taste and a testing ground to see if Melongun is truly the dream team I’ve been looking for.
The good news? This card mini-game (technically a Melongun game, but featuring Battle Maidens characters) will be available here for all of you.
Meanwhile, I’ve also been working with new animators, testing UI, and experimenting with how to bring certain elements from Blender into Unity (like 3D smears to give animations a 2D feel).
Honestly, I’m feeling more motivated than ever. If things go well, this year you’ll finally get to play Battle Maidens Alpha or beta, not just see them in comics, illustrations, or stand-alone animations.
I can’t thank you enough for sticking with me through this long journey. I know it hasn’t always been easy, and I’ve always tried to give you the best content I could—even when it wasn’t Battle Maidens related—so you’d feel your support was worth it.
And I promise, I’ll keep giving you the very best I can.
Extra updates ✨
Thank you, truly, for always being here and helping me bring these ideas into the real world!
