Not too many people would be able to fight a sumo wrestler off from behind, but trying to get Hoshoryu off your back ia pretty much impossible.

Oho is in the championship race with no prior championships. Hoshoryu is aiming to become Yokozuna. In these circumstances the winner has to take the win and not expect the other one to just lose nicely.

When Oho continued to fight, even with Hoshoryu behind him and having secured a mawashi grip, that was almost foolish! Looks great, but the injury risk is pretty high!
