Forgot to mention, that condition is a darkening of the skin. Once you see it, you might notice it on some other rikishi as well. Eating all that rice wreaks havoc on the body, even if you’re as strong and fit as these guys.

Dark spots on Mitakeumi’s cheek looks like a symptom of diabetes, Acanthosis nigricans. Usually affects the folds of the skin (arm pits, groin, behind the knee) but can present elsewhere on the body, such as the cheeks.

Ura's ring presence has been bad this basho. The move he pulled at the end would have been perfect if he had stepped that left foot half a second earlier and landed inbounds. Same as yesterday where he tripped over the rice bales at the tokoduwara.
