The need for two types of models (vocal and instrumental) was due to the technical limitations of UVR. But the new MDX model is already creates HQ vocals, so this is not necessary.

Yes, unfortunately more vocals on the instrumentals, but really much improvement over voices. Now instrumentals have more hidden instruments clearly out and this is awesome. Hope to get less vocals on instrumentals next as well as bv voices in the newest mode.

I've just run a song through by Queen that I did using the version that was running when I joined in July/August and whilst this one is removing a tad more vocal fragments from the instrumental (which is a VAST improvement over the August /September update which I found LEFT more vocals in!), this has gone on to remove some guitar work that the earlier version didn't. The vocals on the otherhand ARE an improvement!

Voices really rules! Fantastic update! Now voices haven't disturbing sounds anymore. I've tried instrumental also. There are some instruments that come out now and the result is better. I only notice some vocals in the background of the new instrumentals that I didn't hear on the 15th of september update. Hope you will clean them in future releases. One word! THANKS

There is not much they can tell you on top of what they already told you. The development takes 3 to 4 months each time to updates the models to in order to have a noticeable difference. It’s impossible to predict. But usually it takes us up to 3-4 months to noticeably improve the results.

Some songs are more difficult to process than others. However, we do our best to be better than our competitors. Other web services leave even more vocals and cost more.

I have been playing around with the aggressiveness for the vocal removal, high versus low, and to be honest, I cannot detect any differences. Also, when I remove the vocals, I can still hear music in the background. Everyone can. I am trying to remove all the music so that I can offer a CLEAN vocal track only, but unfortunately, I have to add a backing track to my vocals just to hide the old background music...which I am unable to remove. I have done everything suggested, and this is not working for me. I'm actually disappointed by this, to be honest.

The song duration has always been limited. 12 minutes for $5+ patrons. 11 minutes for $1-4 patrons. We're going to increase it to 15 minutes soon.

What is the maximum duration of a file that can be loaded? It seems that it has been lowered on my end, capped at 12 minutes; has it changed, or am I imagining things? Thank you for your response.

I have been going through many different AI music software from many competing sites for 3 years and have recently discovered this. (Comparing this to big brand sites like lalal.ai and splitter.ai for only the 2 stem for example) The way the model extracts / removes is very unique and can sometimes help in some cases that others can't do well (specifically how the instrumentals try to be preserved instead of being extracted with the vocals, it does a very good job with that). The inclusion of keeping background vocals is in my opinion the most unique one (especially for background vocals in the center) It would be nice to see an option that is just background vocals only to see how it's like. Really great stuff here. Will add this to my watch list to see how it evolves.

You need to understand how creating the models works. it's not just something they can go in and make the suggested changes to. Most times they have to write new code that will affect those improvements and in some some cases completely rewrite the entire model code. It takes a lot of time and these guys are working on this along with there everyday jobs to do the best they can with the time they have. However the suggestions are noted and in time could be applied if possible.

If you want to remove the music to keep only the vocal, just choose the stems: "Vocals HQ", and then download it. ;) Before download it, don't forget to choose the FLAC format to have a lossless (Best) quality.

Unfortunately, this hasn't really benefitted me in the way that I would have loved, because I am trying to remove background music from some previous vocal work that I did, and I have not been successful in finding not one program that could completely remove the background music from those works. This has nothing to do with your team, because as I said, no program has been able to do it. I still have to do additional editing with other programs in trying to strip the background music, and I can still hear remnants of background piano sounds. But I do appreciate that I am able to strip what I can strip with your program, and for that I am thankful.

WOW! Is this really better than iZotope RX 8? That's great to know. Make the duet vocals part. for example, female vocals are present but male vocals are absent. And the HQ vocals should be improved, so that it is cleaner and maintain. This is also good but there are a few small musical sounds.

You probably mean "aggressiveness". This setting affects the vocal reduction strength. Lower values cause less damage to instruments, but leave more noise / vocals.

Very brief please: What are those three faces below the HiFi filter? What function? Do they affect sound quality?

Love it, very grateful, also a bit interesting to see that in a few cases, the alternative filters (44-split and the MidShift - I think I got the labels wrong, but the previous beta modelds worked better on a few songs, but the quality on those were notably a little less good than on the new HiFi filter. Did you get my gDrive links? Do you like Dream Theater? I later learned on your site that songs not proscessed through your own filters are not welcome. Makes sense I guess. But I'll sned you the Dream Theaters if you want for yourself. They are rare! Produced from scratch without even DT knowing much less approving, although they occational release instrumental-mixes themselves

The removal ability is only as good as the official content used to train the models with. Not everything has been used for training yet vs the amount of content out there to train with. I had the same issue with vocals and guitars mixed in together in one area and had to have a friend do a spectro edit to fix it. Turned out well. Might want to learn how to edit the spectrograph like I'm going to need to. Training the models take strong machines and a lot of time. These guys also stay on top of things a lot more than anyone with Spleeter does.

I noticed quite a difference with the new HP model. I had made a Garth Brooks karaoke track and this new model definitely improved the backing vocals on it.

I didn't notice concrete differences or better extraction in this model, on the contrary, it seems that by my comparisons.

I hope you keep working on the improvements. Some backings don't get fully removed and I have the same issues as Dan Giese with some instruments. Harmonica, saxofone for example. Also when there are tracks with other than a leadsinger the harmonies don't get fully removed.

Hi, I am having an issue. I am now unable to create a track with vocals and backing vocals included on any of the models, not just high precision. It will only allow the backing vocals to be on the instrumental. Can this be fixed or the original feature brought back? Thanks!

The AI I've found has a good 90-95% removal accuracy. The one thing I've seen it struggle with strangely are saxophones and certain flutes. The later is especially noticeable if you try the Simon & Garfunkel song "El Condor Pasa". Listen starting at the 1:20 mark. It takes a bunch of stuff out.

The "Aggressiveness" is responsible for the strength of the vocal suppression. Greater value makes the instrumental cleaner. This may not be noticeable in all genres.

What's the difference between the aggression levels for instrumentals? I've been trying to do some tests between the default medium and the low one, but don't really hear any difference.

Does subbing to Patreon unlock more conversions per day? It looks like you get 25 per day for registering an account on the x-minus site, but no additional ones for subbing to the Patreon.

This online app version has nothing to do with GitHub. We use the Ultimate Vocal Remover v5 beta.

So all three things work but only with bgv removed? vocals (HQ), inst, inst+vocals and does inst+vocals do the first two separately, or which one does it do before phase inversion to make the other?
