To be fair, there could be a lot more that I said about this but it didn't feel right for this scrap. Honestly, sometimes things just are the way they are and as much as I would like to force more drama and intrigue, I can't force my characters to give me that. It was just a very mellow vibe I was getting when I was writing this, much like Sara and Jackson's characters. But, to answer your question, I think it really boils down to Becca cutting off her family, which we find out in Enemies Closer, and her wanting to reach out to Sara again because there was some semblance of relationship there in the past, even if it wasn't talked about before. Also I believe the previous comment about smut writing was in regards to my own irritation that I've expressed before about feeling pigeonholed as a smut writer, something I really don't like one bit. Thank you for your encouragement though! I promise I'll always be the same Kenna Colrite, doing my best to bring quality content to the table whenever I can.

So I’ve got mixed feelings about this one. I enjoyed finally getting Becca and Sara together, but thought there would be a little more story or drama. I mean fifteen years have past. That’s a lot of time. Weddings missed, kids being born. I understand these are just scraps of life it’s just for me this meeting deserves its own chapter (or a few). What was the cause of the rift? Did either try or think about to reach out in the past? I loved the ending finding out Emily is pregnant. I don’t know where the smut writing topic came from, but here’s my opinion, you can call it smut writing, erotic writing or great writing. I go for the last one. I have loved your writing, the way you bring your characters to life and naturally, the way you erotically bring them together. PLEASE don’t change a thing.

You're welcome. I don't think I am the only one who is impressed with how real your characters are. Rebecca is a characters that always impresses me, because of her desire and drive to not only push away the past, but also learn from it. I still believe she and Emily are probably the best characters you have made (and that includes Trent, whose story is just one giant character study). Keep up the good work.

That's about the nicest thing you could say to me. Thank you, truly. I love my characters - my kids - and I really want nothing more than for people to look at them and go 'me too' or to be inspired in some way by their journeys at the very least. My favorite thing as a writer really is to hear how these kids resound with someone else in any way so thank you for sharing that with me and I'm so glad that you enjoyed the scrap.

Thank you very much. Ever since you revealed that Sara was Rebecca’s sister, you not only blew my mind, but made me speculate about this meeting. You didn’t dissappoint. I know that I have told you, that the reason I like Sweet Tooth more than Trifecta, was because it showed you weren’t a one hit wonder (kind of ironic since you said, you wrote Sweet Tooth first, but you released Trifecta first, so in my eyes, it was the first one), but I really do love the story of Rebecca and Emily. I have always liked Rebecca. There is many story points I enjoy (I don’t have another word for it right now. I’m sorry),but the ‘Two characters reconcile after they have grown and become more mature’ is really a favorite of mine (kinda of a side rant, but why haven’t every single person on this planet watched ‘A Silent Voice’??? It is a goddamn masterpiece). This story point really is Revecca, and really enjoyed. Of course she can’t reconcile with everyone, and she probably shouldn’t, but the fact that she want to mend her old relationships with Emily and now Sara, really makes me like and respect her. Some may see you as a smut writer, Kenna, but I see you as a character writer.
