Hey everyone! đ After yesterday's EXCITEMENT from the release of the Command Pattern video, let's keep the hype going with a brand new election! The candidates are as follows:
1. Something with Cinemachine
Cinemachine is the best tool I can imagine using for cameras and there is still so much more to cover with the package. Let's keep learning it with another tutorial
2. Make something with the command pattern
Admittedly, this pattern took me quite some time to wrap my head around. But now that I feel confident in my understanding, it would be really cool to recreate some other game's features that use the command pattern!
3. Expand on the character controller
The last video we did with the character controller was the hierarchical state machine video. It would be awesome to return to that to add more functionality! We might combine this with the Cinemachine option so that we can get a proper 3rd person camera going.
4. Let's keep learning about other design patterns
I've really enjoyed making the state machine/hierarchical state machine and the command pattern videos. I am a better developer because of the time that I've taken to really understand them and I hope that everyone else has learned from the videos, as well. With that being said, I would love to continue the Programming for Production video series and learn more design patterns and then share that with you all!
5. Do something else!
Whether it's a "Day in the life" video, giving Blender some time, collab videos, game jams, etc... anything else you'd like to see: leave the ideas in the comments!
