Epilogue
.
Part 1
The closing ceremony was over, and it was the day to go back to my parents' house.
My father came to pick me up at the port.
I waited for Marie, who never showed up on time.
"She's late on a day like this."
Both Nix and Jenna were already on their way to the port.
Luxion is wondering why Marie is not showing up.
[Is she taking time to get ready?]
"Women take a lot of time to get ready."
[Or maybe she overslept]
"It's possible."
—— However, I have been having a strange uneasy feeling in my chest since this morning.
I couldn't calm down in any way.
Luxion seemed to sense my impatience.
[Shall we go pick her up?]
"I guess so. But I can't go into the girls' dormitory."
While we were talking, a group of girls passed in front of us in plain clothes. Are they going back to their parents' house? Or are they going to spend their time playing in the royal capital?
I am curious about their plans, but I am more concerned about the content of their conversations.
"It was a nice change of pace, wasn't it?"
"She was so brazen, I felt refreshed."
"It's her fault for standing out too much at the party."
The three ill-mannered girls were followed by their exclusive servants.
Listening to the conversation, I have a bad feeling.
Stand out at the party? And refreshing? It was as if they were talking about us who had stood out at the party.
Don't tell me, they did something to Marie?
"——Luxion, find Marie immediately!"
[Understood.]
When I ran out, Luxion headed towards the girls' dormitory first.
.
Part 2
Marie, who had bed hair, was running with a travel bag.
"I oversleptttt!"
Last night she was nervous and had a hard time sleeping.
Wondering what kind of greeting she should give to Leon's family when she thought she was going to meet them, she couldn't sleep.
——And she had a bad feeling.
Thanks to that, she fell asleep very late.
And when she woke up, it was a little before the meeting time.
"Hauh!"
Marie hurriedly got ready and ran out of her room, bumping against a female student at a corner.
The fallen Marie quickly gets up.
"Ouch ouch——Ah, are you okay!? Sorry. I was in a hurry ——Eh?"
The person she hit is also down, and Marie reaches out to her.
But the female student did not take Marie's hand and stood up by herself.
Is she angry? When she looked into the other person's face, she was horrified by the look in her eyes.
The gloomy eyes female student was Olivia.
She has a very guarded attitude toward Marie.
She silently took her distance and just turned away and walked away.
Marie found herself in a cold sweat.
"Wh-what? What is it?"
——It was very scary.
Olivia, who usually has a smiling and cheerful image, had a blank expression and very cloudy eyes.
Marie is worried when she sees Olivia.
(What is it? It's as if she hates everything —— I've seen a few kids with eyes like that, did something happen to her?)
She even thought about going after Olivia, but her legs wouldn't move.
Her heart is beating fast.
――Should she go after her? For some reason, such a question came.
As Marie stands there, a familiar voice calls out to her.
[Oya, here you are]
"Fuwaa! L-Luxion. Don't scare me."
Impatient, Marie picked up her travel bag, wiping the sweat off her face.
[Master was worried about you.]
"M-My bad. I didn't sleep well last night and when I woke up it was time to go——"
As she was making excuses, Luxion made a nodding gesture by moving the camera eye vertically.
[If there is no problem, that's fine. Well then, let's go.]
"Y-Yes."
Remembering what had just happened, Marie was concerned about Olivia.
But she remembers Olivia's rejective attitude.
(Even if I called out to her, she wouldn't answer me. I've never even spoken to her in the first place.)
Thinking that it was not right for her to call out to her, and also because Leon and the others were waiting for her —— Marie did not pursue Olivia.
.
Part 3
"Overslept? Are you kid!"
"I'm sorry."
I was really relieved when I heard that Marie was late because she overslept.
I had a bad feeling, but my intuition is not that good in the first place.
I'm glad it was missed.
The two of us hurried to the airship boarding ramp in the port.
As we walked, I was having a conversation with Marie.
"Has the ship left yet?"
She seems to be worried that my dad's ship has sailed.
"It's not a liner, so we can be flexible. I'm sure they'll complain, though."
[It's okay if you are left behind. I will send you both with my Partner.]
"Partner would stand out. In the first place, it was built too big. A 700-meter class is too difficult to use regularly."
[It's because of Master's thoughtless actions. I am not to blame.]
Because I had inadvertently exposed the Luxion main body at my parents' house, the airship I had acquired was recognized as a large 700-meter class.
Thanks to that, Partner's size is 700 meters, just like Luxion's.
It is unnecessarily large and difficult to move in many ways.
"Is that so? That's so."
I've been talking lightly with Luxion, but I can't shake this strange uneasiness I've been having since a while ago.
"Marie, did nothing really happen?"
Concerned, I confirm it with Marie, but she is shaking her head.
"What do you mean?"
"I said——No, it's good."
"Hey! I'm curious, so tell me quickly!"
This girl would just laugh if I told her that I had a strange uneasiness.
I decided to consult with Luxion, not Marie.
"Luxion, did you notice anything unusual yesterday?"
I turn my face to Luxion, but this one blames me.
[Do you think I know everything about this school? I don't receive such an order, so I don't investigate anything.]
He is an annoying guy.
Marie looks at Luxion with disappointment.
"I thought Artificial Intelligence would be better than this. Are you perhaps a disappointing guy?"
Luxion, perhaps ignited by Marie's words, retorts.
[I can't ignore that. It is because Master, who has no interest in the school, did not order me to gather information. I will be troubled if I'm expected to do that work when I'm not even ordered to do it. First of all, I am not free. My main body is still busy working to set up a factory at Master's parents' house. The fact that I don't do anything unnecessary is proof of my excellence——]
Ignoring Luxion, who began to speak passionately, Marie is interested in the factory's story.
"Do you have a factory? Eh, maybe you're rich!?"
"It’s better to have more sources of income in the future, right."
"It's nice~."
Both Marie and I had lost interest in Luxion's explanation.
Luxion says.
[—— You both have very similar personalities. You even look alike in the way you don't listen to my explanations.]
"Where!?"
"Where!?"
The voice of Marie and I were overlapping again.
It was embarrassing —— and funny.
We look at each other and laugh.
"When I go to Leon's parents' house, I want to eat rice first. And —— rice crackers."
"Aren't your hobbies a bit rough?"
"Isn't it fine. You can eat it crunchy, and it's delicious when it's a little damp."
"It's tasty, but there's more to it than that."
"Mochi?"
Like wishing for rice crackers or mochi —— no, I understand how you feel.
I was beginning to feel a sense of relief as my strange uneasiness began to subside.
Apparently, the bad feeling was in my mind.
As the conversation gets going, we see a small airship boarding area for the harbor.
It seems to be just before the airship departs from the platform.
"Oh, just in time. Let's go for a ride?"
"I'll take the window seat!"
When I saw Marie run out, I thought to myself, she's doing well —— but at the same time, I was surprised to see that she was overlapping with my little sister's image from my previous life.
Marie can't possibly be my little sister.
In both my previous life and this one, I wonder if I'm related to someone like my little sister?
Fuh, I look back the way I came, curious.
I can see the school in the distance, but when I look at it, my chest tightens strangely.
There was also a strange uneasiness in my chest this morning, and I can't help but be worried.
While I was looking at the school as it was, Luxion, who looked at me questioningly, called out to me.
[Master, what's wrong?]
"——Nothing"
Marie boarded the airship and waved at us.
"If you don't hurry, you'll be behind!"
Is that what you say, that you overslept?
"She's looking good today —— well, fine"
As I walk away, I look back once more with just my face.
Although I could only see the school building as usual, my mind couldn't help but be disturbed.
I feel like I've made some kind of irreversible mistake, but I'm sure I'm wrong.

"The Unspoken Rules of the Academy Girls"
.
Part 1
In the schools of the Kingdom of Horfalt, there are unspoken rules that girls must follow.
It was not a school rule or anything like that, but a rule between students.
There are also unspoken rules for boys to follow, but they are probably fewer than those for girls.
Upon entering the academy, Marie came to greet a group of girls who were the most powerful students in her grade.
The red-eyed girl with shiny blonde hair braided and tied up in a bun was gracefully in her room, surrounded by her cronies.
Angelica Rafa Redgrave——daughter of the Duke Redgrave and fiancée of Crown Prince Julius.
Angelica's status and position made her the representative girl of her grade.
Marie made a smile and handed the sweets she had brought to the girls around her.
"I hope it's to your liking."
Inwardly, she didn't want to give away sweets that she herself rarely ate.
But she knows that if she breaks the rules among the girls, she will get in trouble.
(Kuuh~, what a terrible rule to have to hand out sweets that I rarely get to eat)
When the crony girl accepts the bag of sweets, she checks the contents and gives a mocking look.
"You've brought some pretty cheap stuff."
Marie was annoyed by the disdainful look in the other person's eyes, but she held her ground.
If she goes on a rampage here, she will make an enemy of Angelica.
She decides it is better to endure based on her calculations and forces her mind to convince her to smile wryly.
"E-Even so, I did my best."
(You say it's cheap, but it's expensive! Sweets in this world are expensive anyway!)
The sweets are basically handmade by artisans, and the prices are reasonable, even if they are cheap.
But to the crony girls, accustomed to high-end sweets, they probably look cheap.
"You, a poor girl, have no right to talk to Angelica-sama. I'll tell her you came to say hello and you can go home now."
Marie is driven back at the doorway of the room and leaves quickly.
"Please give my best regards."
And the girls, who had been waiting behind Marie, were now handing out sweets to the cronies and talking about something.
"You are the daughter of Count Leen, aren't you?"
"Yeah, that's right. Now get in touch with Angelica."
"Please, come this way."
Unlike Marie, the daughter of the Count was accompanied by two girls who were her cronies.
Angelica's entourage also responded with their backs straightened when they saw this.
Seeing such a sight, Marie——.
(Even though this is the world of that otome game, it's not dreamy, it's just too realistic.)
.
Part 2
When Angelica is done with the daughter of Count Leen, one of the girls who is circling her happily reports to her with a list of names.
"More than 20 people came to say hello today."
She seemed proud that that many people came to greet Angelica.
However, Angelica herself was fed up with this unspoken rule of greeting.
"Since I entered the school, I've wasted a lot of time just greeting people. ——Wait a minute. Didn't we have more than a dozen visitors today?"
She counted the number of people who had visited her in her head and realized that it did not match the reports of her cronies.
After a quick check, the crony girl narrowed her gaze slightly.
She seemed uncomfortable, but it was not with Angelica.
"They are the ones that Angelica-sama doesn't need to meet."
Apparently, the cronies were choosing among themselves who would be suitable to meet Angelica.
Angelica raises her eyebrows.
"You took the liberty of doing that. The one making the decision is me, not you guys."
Maybe they didn't expect to be blamed, but the girls around her started to get upset.
"B-But the other party came from a poor family——"
"So what do you do if they get dissatisfied? If it's just a face to face meeting and done, that's less hassle. I hope there's no unnecessary hassle."
Angelica, who is also stunned by the cronies who take the liberty of doing so, receives the list and checks the names.
Check to see if there are any troublesome houses —— or names among them.
Then, when the check was over, she let out a small sigh.
"——There seems to be no problem this time, but be careful next time."
Angelica gave them all a sharp look around, and the girls around her responded in unison, straightening their postures.
But when Angelica saw her cronies, she felt a sense of loneliness.
(I wish I had at least one friend I could trust with my heart.)

Afterword
.
Thank you very much for picking up "That Otome Game Is a Tough World for Us" this time.
I've been writing a lot of robot novels lately, and I'm starting to misunderstand that I'm good at robot novels.
And it was a misunderstanding, of course. ——It's hard to make a robot thing (tears).
Now, I am not good at writing afterword, but for this one time, I have a story, so I am not troubled.
First of all, how did this work become a book?
Since many readers may not know this, I will explain it in the afterword.
First of all, this work is based on the survey bonus SS for the book version of "The Otome Game World Is a Tough World for Mobs," or "MobSeka" for short.
The survey benefits were short stories, but because they were posted on the Web, there were no restrictions on the number of words or pages.
So Mishima thought.
——If there are no restrictions, I can write as much as I want.
When I thought about what kind of story I would like to tell next, "If I am going to write it anyway, wouldn't it be interesting to reveal settings that do not appear in the main story? That's what I thought.
Then I arrived at the idea that it would be nice to enjoy the story from a different point of view than the main story, mobseka.
What if the protagonist, Leon, had made a different choice at that time, in that place, than he did in the main story? What if Leon and Marie had met early on and revealed their true identities to each other?
That's fun!
In game-like terms, it's a state of being on a different route.
For that reason, the readers who enjoyed the survey benefits called it "Marie Route".
Is it a detailed survey benefit like that? I had been writing a few tens of thousands of words of bonus SS for each volume, but I was told that it was too wasteful, so it was decided to publish it as a book.
Before I knew it, I had started writing as a bonus SS from the third volume of Mobseka, and when it became a book, it amounted to two or three books.
When it was published, I was happy, but the problem was that I omitted the flow of the beginning because I wrote it for the bonus SS.
Otherwise, I was writing on the assumption that I had knowledge of the mobseka or the main story.
This will confuse readers who are unfamiliar with mobseka, even if it is made into a book.
Therefore, it was essential to add an early part when making it into a book.
No way, I couldn't bring in the original work from the main story, so I had to rewrite most of the story.
That's why there are some differences from the main story.
And while writing, Mishima thought.
Can I just rewrite it now?
Originally, the survey benefits were to be pieced together and released, but we decided to publish the book based on Marie Route Part 1 with significant additions.
I feel like I've already written a whole book.
It was a lot of work, but as the author, I had a lot of fun (lol).
How do Leon and Marie meet early on and what will their relationship be like in the future? What will be their relationship with the characters in the main story?
I intend to write for the enjoyment of both readers who enjoy Mobseka and readers who will start reading from this work.
The title has been changed, and please continue to support the new Marie route!
