Chapter 10 "The Last Encounter Event"
.
Part 1
"I'm glad you're okay."
"Y-Yes."
After school the day after I finished exterminating the sky pirates, I was face to face with Marie.
The courtyard in the evening is sparsely populated.
We sat side by side on a bench and talked about the future.
Marie seems to feel indebted to me for saving her life, and I appreciate her willingness to listen to me, unlike yesterday.
Marie thanks me.
"Thank you so much for yesterday. If things had gone the way they did, I would have been in real danger."
"——I'm sorry, too. I said too much."
I wanted to end this talk by apologizing to each other.
While looking at the garden in the courtyard, Marie talks little by little.
"I was happy until I was in college."
"Is that so?"
"Around that time, my big brother died. A lot happened, and I got kicked out of the house, and I was unhappy. Or rather, I think I made myself unhappy."
Listening to Marie's story, the image of my little sister inevitably comes to mind.
I can't remember her face or name, but her atmosphere is similar.
Marie tells me more about her previous life.
"Even after finding a good guy and going out with him, they all eventually become no good. Men who were chasing their dreams, but then they got into gambling and got themselves into debt. I was struggling to pay it back."
A man chasing his dreams? Well, I'm not saying it's bad, but you should have picked a more solid man.
"Is that why you wanted to be happy in this world?"
"Right. But it's not going well."
Marie smiled sadly as she looked down.
So I wanted to help Marie.
"Marie, you haven't reached out to Chris yet, have you?"
"Eh? Y-Yes."
"Then let's give it a try. Luxion, find out where Chris is. The other four didn't work, but you still have a chance with Chris."
Luxion, commanded by me, flashes his camera eye.
[As for me, I would like to see Master and Marie get together. ——I found him. He's at the training ground.]
Even in that otome game, Chris often spent his time at the training ground.
I stand up and urge Marie.
"Hora, let's go."
"Let's go, you said —— Really? You told me to give it up before."
"I'll help you. Olivia seems to be getting along well with His Highness Julius, so it wouldn't hurt for you to pick up one of them."
"——R-Right."
With Marie, who was reluctant, we headed to where Chris was.

Part 2
The training ground lined with logs.
There was a man there wielding a sword.
His name is [Chris Fia Arkwright].
He looks like an intellectual with short blue hair and glasses, but he is actually the son of a warrior called the Sword Saint in the kingdom of Horfalt.
He himself is a fighter who has earned the title of "swordsman" at a young age.
When it comes to one-on-one matches and battles, he's better than Greg.
In that otome game, he showed no interest in anything but swordsmanship, and he was a troublesome guy in various ways.
Then Marie approached Chris on the training ground and try to talk to him.
I was watching them from the shadows.
"Good luck, it's your last chance."
[Are you sure about this? I thought Master liked Marie?]
"There are many kinds of likes"
As me and Luxion watched, Marie was approaching Chris.
But Chris is shaking his head.
"Sorry, but I'm not interested in a romance. I can't date you either."
"——I see"
Marie spoke to him nicely, and I was impressed with her skills —— but in the end, Chris was not interested in Marie.
Chris wiped his sweat and gave Marie a suspicious look.
"I don't know what you were thinking when you approached me, but I still have a fiancée. It would be dishonest for me to be too close to other female students. Henceforth, please don't talk to me too much."
Admonished with a good argument, Marie's shoulders slumped.
"You're right. ——I'm sorry."
Seeing Marie honestly apologizing, Chris made a dejected face.
Did he have any thoughts about Marie, who obediently withdrew?
Chris smiles slightly at Marie.
"That's a bad way of saying it. I am clumsy by any means, so I am not good at dealing with ladies. It would be better for you to find another man than me."
I could feel that he was paying attention to Marie in a clumsy way.
It was surprising because in that otome game, he was the capture target who seemed colder than the others.
After they finished talking, Chris began swinging his wooden sword.
In order not to disturb Chris, Marie comes back to me.
Marie was a little depressed, but she was smiling when she came in front of me.
"I failed."
"——That's four losses in a row, a total loss."
"Right."
Not only is there no more left, but the game is over.
Marie went around talking to all the boys —— except for the prince, who was the capture target, but she didn't get anything out of it.
Then, as if something had blown up, she suddenly began to raise her voice.
"I mean, isn't it terrible that I failed in everyone!? At least one person should have noticed my charm!"
I guess everything does not work like a game.
I turn my gaze to Luxion.
"Things have been going better for Olivia-san, right?"
[Yes. However, it is unclear who she is targeting at this point. From what you two have said, I get the impression that she is deepening her relationship with them equally.]
Thanks to that, no one turns their attention to Marie.
Marie complains about Olivia-san.
"Maybe she's trying to get a reverse harem route? At least let me have one of them."
Even though she was angry, seeing Marie looking somewhat lonely made me sad.
So I decided to invite her out to dinner.
"Cheer up. I'll buy you dinner."
When Marie was offered a meal in the house, she was blatantly drooling as she regained her energy.
She looks quite happy, but shows a bit of resistance, as if she doesn't want people to think she's a glutton.
"D-Don't mock me. Do you think food is enough to put me in a good mood?"
"Wipe your drool and then tell me."
While I was hiding from Chris and talking with Marie, Olivia-san came to the training ground.
"Are you training, too, Chris-san?"
"Are you training too?"
"Y-Yes. There's a practical session, so I thought I'd practice before that."
"I see."
Chris, who is usually so cold to everyone, smiled only at Olivia-san from the beginning.
Well, I understand how he feels.
Olivia, who seems simple and kind, is a girl who has broad-mindedness.
Cheerful and energetic——Olivia with big breasts is an attractive girl.
I would smile, too, if I were called by her.
In contrast, Marie's personality is terrible and her bosom is desolate. ——I look at Marie with that thought in my mind, perhaps noticing the meaning, and she glares at me with a smile.
"Oi, what did you compare me to that woman?"
Marie looked at me with a terrible cold look in her eyes, so I averted my gaze.
"Well —— let's go get some dinner?"
"You looked at my chest and compared me to that woman, right! Say it clearly!"
Marie is becoming less and less holding back, she is starting to show her emotions towards me.
So I, too, threw away my holding back toward Marie.
"The truth sometimes hurts people. And I, gentle man, can't tell you the truth."
"Isn't it the same as you saying it! Damn it! It's the chest after all!? All men are stupid bastards!"
Actually, I prefer shape and roundness rather than size, but I'll keep quiet about that.
Because Marie's flat chest has nothing to do with shape or roundness.
"Ah~, it's so irritating. I'll eat at least ten steaks today!"
Marie's declaration of gluttony is admonished by Luxion, who has been silent.
[The other day you flattened twelve pieces, didn't you? Marie, your body certainly won't grow but fat will be added to your body. Mainly not on your breasts and buttocks, but on your stomach and arms.]
Marie became quiet after hearing that.
"—— I-I'll keep it six."
And yet you still want to eat six plates?
There is no way that the capture target boys will be attracted to such a woman.
At first I worried a lot, but in hindsight it was all for naught.
I urge Marie to hurry up.
"Come on, let's get going. I'm hungry too."
"Ah, wait!"
