I think I want to make a game?

I have had a few ideas rolling around in my head for a long time. tumbling down the sooty hill of my mental folds, slowly gathering mass. I don't know why exactly but last week I was hit by one and I suddenly feel like I want to make a video game.
I should say that I was hit hard. I feel like I NEED to make this game I see in my head. I've been obsessively roughing out concept art, researching , writing, I even dusted off my old programming hyper-fixation and have been learning how to script in GoDot, I did a very quick little animation (with very rudimentary art not at all representative of what I have in mind, I should add) of what I want the combat to feel like. I know it's not much to show right now but I think I may actually do this. it's sat at the sphincter of my mind like a giant creative, constipated turd. I know it will be a lot of effort but If I don't push it out I will carry the weight around with me until I do.
It's a farming sim with combat and exploration, not the most original idea but I think games are often carried by the writing and story and the setting and how those things are told. I have ideas, I have inspiration. I have... VISION
Do you think I should do this? Would you support a game made by me?
Also, I just remembered I was supposed to be dumping my old art work here and I forgot, Ooops I will get back to that RIGHT NOW

Nice, thank you! I haven’t used any animation apps on the iPad recently, but I want to get Procreate Dreams and maybe Toonsquid and get a feel for what they can do. You made it look really good, with all the flashes and that locked camera adds a lot, too.

So, I animated a fight scene with frame by frame animation, then the program I use for animating (toonsquid) has a camera layer which you can keyframe so I just manually directed the camera movement afterwards. This isn't a game yet, its an animation of how I would want the games combat to feel. Actually scripting camera movement like this in a game is probably really hard and why most games have jank cameras

In a way, the rough drawing style in this animation feels similar to the low level of detail in an 8 bit game, I like it. The animation has so much energy! How did you get the camera to be locked on the main character, is there an easy way to do that?

Thanks! I just did this so I could prove to myself that what I'm seeing in my head motion wise is something I'm capable of bringing to life. Ultimately I wan't BEAUTIFUL, OVERLY AMBITIOUS and cute sprites of a little tea farmer androgynous person, I'm imagining metal slug kinda stuff

Definitely go for it! The animation looks super nice, a rough style like this could work very well when it’s all quite fast paced. I’ve never made a game but always wanted to. There were people who developed games at film school in a small town I lived, seemed like a lot of fun and they were good company. I’d love to see where this is going 😊
