my mom tells me that back in the late 70s my uncle jumped up and grabbed the dirty foot and they stopped the ride to yell at him.

The Dirty Foot Pirate has terrified me since I was a child, Even now as a middle aged adult, I have to steel myself as my boat goes under him. I have on at least one occasion gotten stuck directly under him when the boats got severely backed up and it is the most uncomfortable and alarmed I have ever been in the park. So... I am so glad you guys devoted an episode to this noteworthy animatronic.
