Yet Another Method To Look For Dark Matter That Probably Won’t Work
A new paper from astronomers at Ohio State outlines how ionization of the atmosphere could be used to identify large chunks of dark matter, sometimes called macro dark matter. The problem is that this hypothesis for dark matter is even less plausible than microscopic particles, because no one knows what those dark matter chunks would be made of, and there are many other constraints on the idea already.

If you have the time for it, please do it. In this current competitive situation of dark matter search, any survey can be helpful. In this context it should, however, not be overlooked that there is already a solution if we base gravity on Lorentzian relativity. This related solution explains all observations, and even better, it yields quantitative results in contrast to all other proposals. Quite funny is the fact that Einstein himself was (in 1911) close to this solution, which means a gravitation which is not based on mass. Unfortunately there was a mistake in his calculation (caused by the state of physical knowledge at his time) and he did not continue this way.

Thank you for posting the article on dark matter. I would love for you to make another video about it, and maybe consider including the most recent images from the JWST that looked at intracluster light and how it implies the distribution of dark matter.
