Are warp drives science now?

Hi Sabine, now even some Limitless Space Institutes claims to have found a first microscopic warp bubble structure, while working on the Casimir effect, which I very much doubt. They do research on the Casimir effect, which I personally doubt can be observed in our labs, since we create nothing close enough to a real vaccum. Is the Casimir effect true? What do you think?

Well, this "warp drive research" comes down to studying solutions of General Relativity. Theoreticians are really cheap. And it's a sexy topic with popular appeal so I am somewhat surprised that there isn't a bunch of private donors throwing money at it.

Also, I am skeptical about Elon Musk and his involvement with other ideas such as the Hyperloop. As far as I can tell there's more sizzle than steak, mostly. Unless he decides to actually throw money at warp drive development, which is a possibility I guess, if enough progress gets made.
