If the universe is flat then do we need general relativity to perform calculations? Einstein’s equations are hard to solve.

Thanks!

Yep. LOL. Hell if I know but the way you put it sounds really plausible :)

It seems like this latest suicide bombing is related to 5G https://www.newsweek.com/why-nashville-bomb-investigators-feared-copycat-attacks-5g-conspiracists-1557485 Should we be taking this misinformation more seriously? Do we need a clear debunking of whatever information these people are getting that would motivate them to become so violent?

One great thing about mathematics is that it allows us to perform operations with numbers that are unknown to us, like... infinity + 5 - infinity = 5... I am not very experienced in that field, but I believe that what you are saying would somehow violate the principle of locality? How could there actually be infinity, in a literal and tangible sense? I personally believe that it is a concept and not an achievable number... suppose you were "God"... if you were omniscient you would know the exact number of atoms everywhere, and therefore be able to calculate anything...

I understand discreetness replacing continuous calculus allows sums to converge where integrals diverge. If the universe were infinite with mass distributed at regular intervals and knowing the Basel 1/n^2 series is convergent then would the gravitational forces in an infinite universe cancel out at large scales with local effects dominating?

I understand an infinite line in Euclidean geometry has every point at its center. Luckily the flatness problem tells us the universe is not open or closed.
