I'm surprised we didn't get more scenes with marissa talking about her fear about her family not wanting to accept her decision about not joining the military. Especially with Anastasia who literally dealt with similar feelings about her sexuality and the lack of acceptance she faced in russia, we got that scene with her and Zaid but she never really mentioned it around Marissa even though we got plenty of content with them. With all the scenes that get cut due to budget constraints I wouldnt be surprised if additional Marissa lore was cut to save time.

I think they could've done marissa a lot more justice if they just had her arc be less underway at the time of her first elim. If she left still feeling strong about wanting to join the military only to contemplate about it post-elim and return with mixed thoughts, only to decide not to join and follow in her family's footsteps for her own reasons it would've felt like her return was less of just aiding Anastasia's arc with Isabelle. You barely got anything new out of her character post-return that wasn't tied to Anastasia, and it's reminiscent of how Zaid was with Ivy and how he still doesn't have much to define his character outside of his values shaped by his family/mother that the writing should explore more. That being said the tiebreaker was one of the best scenes this season imo.

i can see it as if she left it up to god who to eliminate in the tiebreaker, but also her emotions got in the way of an easy elimination in order to upset Anastasia more, even if it meant her staying in the game. She probably thinks if she didnt get eliminated it would still be a big blow to her confidence and would affect her ability to strategize without Marissa being there to reassure her, so her paranoia would be at an uptick and she won't know who to trust. Also Amelie getting eliminated next ep right after her fellow returnee just got the boot would be twisted from onc

Something tells me that Jade could possible win this season now. Her apprenehsiveness to go with Isabel's plan and her supposedly new bond with Logan has me thinking they're hyping her up to have a coming of age arc where she grows to become more compassionate. What mainly gives it away for me is the possibility that Logan doesn't know about Jade choosing to not send Richard to help him in the pirate challenge. The two of them forming an alliance may have that fact revealed to everyone and turn Jade into the social pariah. Kind of like in S2 when James got ousted for using Aiden.

Not exactly sure what Isabel got out of pitting Anastasia and Marissa against one another in a tiebreaker over voting out Ana outright... outside of some manufactured tension-free melodrama. She was gifted a leak of her boot target on a platter by Logan and pissed it away leaving her biggest threat in the game. Bummer... Predicted boot order the rest of the way... 7) Amelie 6) Isabel (these two could be flipped depending on whether they want to pull the trigger on Hannah's redemption arc earlier or later) 5) Logan 4) Jade (flip these two if Isabel goes out before Amelie - Jade needs a buffer eviction) FINALE 3) Zaid 2) Anastasia 1) Hannah (for the record, I'm not ruling out Logan and Zaid being swapped - in which case, I would give Logan slightly better odds to win in a finale if he made it that far - especially if past boots get to play helper as in past seasons and they want to cram in some more Spencer-Logan fanservice shipping)

I'm starting to see a problem with how the characters are treated and it feels like most of them are getting more and more unlikable with each episode. Anastasia and Logan were both my favourites for the whole season, but I'm not sure if they are now. They started as friends with an amazing dynamic, but now they're enemies (?). It feels a little bit out of nowhere. For me, it's a wasted potential of a great duo just to make more unnecessary drama. Jade is still Jade, not very interesting but a bit better than she used to be. Zaid is extremely boring. I don't see why he's still in the game when it's literally nothing going on for him. Tristan and Ivy are far better characters out of the trio. Hannah's a bit annoying, but this is not a problem in her case, as it feels natural and has a high plot potential, so hopefully it's executed well. Amelie is a great character herself, but it feels that the plot doesn't offer her time to truly shine. And lastly, Isabel, who has everything in my opinion, so I can't say any bad thing about her. And don't get me wrong, this season is still great, and hopefully stays like this until the end. I just think that the creators took the wrong path with most of the remaining contestants.

Maybe Hannah is the curse of this whole season. I mean, we’ve seen her grown more selfish and cold for overall gameplay lately. Ivy and Spencer pretty much stated that Hannah is not someone who should be in the game, and for good reason. Most of the decisions, even evil ones this season, were based on relating to the game for personal or strategic reasons, even if those reasons didn’t always work out for the best. Hannah’s reasons relate to her emotions and how easily it is to have her be twisted into someone very scary and dangerous to have around. She’s purely chaotic and is not someone you’d want to trust in this game. She should’ve listened to Ivy and stick with her and Benji and Zaid. She would’ve been seen as a much more different person than the one who’s about to be voted off by Amelie soon.

I have to agree with everyone else, her returning was a waste of opportunity. Sure we got to see Marissa and Anastasia be cute together and even work together but… we were hoping she would make an impact by herself. This merge team has been the most hypocritical, back stabbing in all the seasons and then..they act surprised when things happen? AHAHAHA. Marissa had to go, come on people she's the strongest, and her and Anastasia were a huge threat. This is not a high school trip, this is a survival show.

Zaid saying to Logan: "Logan, Are you serious?!" might be the same path as Spencer's Fright Night foreshadowing that Spencer telling Zaid: "Are you serious, Zaid" did and it could mean Zaid could suffer the same fate at Episode 20 as the previously eliminated Spencer does at Episode 18 and the same way that Marissa was eliminated at Episode 19.

Good episode especially to see Isabelle decide to do something like this. My only thing is it seemed so pointless to bring Marissa back just to send her home again especially since she really didn't give us much since she came back other than that sweet little moment with her family. I feel like it was a missed opportunity to bring back Alessio or Diego since they both got out early on and could have gotten more with those 2. I hope maybe the ending is between Isabelle and Anastasia. I feel like that would be a good ending to the season.

Character Breakdown: Anastasia: She found way into my heart again. Everyone now sees she not all tough but does have big heart inside that cold demeanor. That tie breaker was heart breaking to watch and Marissa was both her greatest strength but biggest weakness. Now she’s alone again and got a target on her back. Who will she turn too? Amelia: Poor thing. The one person Hannah that she could count on betrayed her. Not looking good for her. She might need to find another ally for time being. She got every right to be mad. Amelie helped Hannah get immunity last episode and she promised Amelia the win for this immunity. Amelia needs better support and maybe can find come ground’s with Anastasia now. Hannah: Gurl why?! You’re better than that. I’m not going mad for playing the game but still Amelia wanted help and didn’t even ask if she was okay. Hannah makes Amelia like she was a necessary and that she should be lucky to even be here after she got back into the game. Ik she wasn’t going to give Amelia the win even with the branch falling on her. Like I’m happy she got immunity again but this one seemed little greedy. Only going to put a bigger target on her back since now she’s the only player in the merge who one two immunity now. Hannah entering the Riya black hole of derailment and needs to get out before she branded as villain if Isabel stays to the end. Isabel: And.. speak of the Devil in Mother Mary’s clothing. I’m impressed she gets more and more ruthless each episode like once she puts to mind to something it’s game over. She just casts a vote and that person automatically eliminated. Scary!! Isabel did a big gamble on this vote and got 6 more episodes to see if she played her cards right. Jade: Despite not a lot development this episode she did become one of the biggest contributors to the climax. Now that everyone sees Isabel as the new big bad she’s can happily stay along side her and coast to finale or at least the top 4. Also that heart to heart with Logan was super cute. Like they both love water and grew up around it. Finally a ship for Jade that seems right. Logan: I didn’t like how he betrayed Anastasia like that. They had sweetest friendship early this season and like them to continue being friends. Giving big sister and younger brother energy. Jade and him were sweet and I hope Jade can be the one who helps him overcome his fear of water. One of last males standing and he’s fighting to stay in game. Maybe clueless idiot at time but he’s got heart and spirit. He almost won this challenge and beat that theory that he was going place 8 since that was book he found in the haunted house episode. Marissa: Ahh man poor Marissa. She was getting better and better since she got back into the game. I wanted to get her own solo time but clearly can’t now. Still got some good moments and improved her ranking from 14th to 8th. Anastasia and Marissa closure was more than enough and knowing their healthy bond will live on beyond the game. Zaid: He’s a man just trying to survive with other only man Logan with him. Clearly needs more development and who knows if him and Anastasia will make amends. Zaid got some more fight left in him and hopefully he pull through with Logan in the two men vs five women game now. Also needs more cooking scenes that where he’s most happiest beside with Ivy.

I’m sorry but this elimination is so bad. Marissa had a good spot to go home in the pre merge and while it didn’t wrap up everything for her and Ana, you could simply do that in a motel episode. Even tho she returned I was optimistic because maybe she’d get some development but no, the slight development she did get was in Ep17 and Ep18 which mind you is 2/3 episodes she had when she returned. In Ep17 it was revealed Marissa is not joining the military and in Ep18 we saw the video call from her parents but that’s it. In my opinion if Anastasia quit for Marissa and had her expand her character, I would have been fine with it. This has me more pissed because maybe another character could have returned like TED. Sadly the slot in my opinion got wasted. Other than that the episode was great. Logan and Zaid as well as Hannah and Amelie breakup arc. This episode is a 7/10, the elimination just ruined some stuff for me.

Why is it that every time someone puts their trust on Hannah, it always bites them in the ass? Diego, Tristan, Ivy, Benji, Natalia, Amelie, Anastasia and Marissa, all put their trust in Hannah and took shots, but then immediately afterwards they would get burned and put in the worst position. Kinda hate the hypocrisy from everyone being mad at Isabel, as if they all didn’t just vote for her for seemingly no reason. Isabel didn’t do anything to anyone outside of Anastasia and Marissa. If anything they should’ve targeted Jade since Jade at least have some rivalry with Amelie, Zaid, and Hannah. I agree with everything besides Isabel. IMO, she was a fun asshole, getting such glorious destructive revenge on Anastasia by acting so innocent at first and silently enjoying the chaos she caused with her totem play.

At 18:23 of the the episode, I’m pretty sure this foreshadowed Anastasia’s reaction to losing Marissa. Fun fact, Revelation 18:23 also references to a city’s lost joy and complete destruction, so it looks like Isabel had it all chaotically destructive this episode to fully ANNIHILATE Anastasia. WOW! Another banger of an episode (we even got to see Derek again, that was nice of them), but we need to talk about a lot imo ur characters this episode (and yeah, it seems like Trevor and Emily are essentially the new co-hosts for the rest of the season. I’m pretty sure Derek is setting up location destinations for Disventure Camp season 5): Zaid and Logan: These two definitely are getting the setup to disrupt the girl’s alliance big time, though hard to say how they stick with certain groups of it. Logan and Jade is definitely a partnership I could see forming. That’s about all I got for these two, hence the by I paired them up. Amelie: A rightfull queen as always making the smart moves. Working with Isabel and Jade while disrupting the votes would’ve been best move for her forward…but of course, Hannah goes and ruins it all. Amelie getting backstabbed like that and treated so coldly…wow, early season me wouldn’t think to feel so bad for Amelie before, but here we are. Hannah: Guilt tripping selfish lying BACKSTABBING-… ok, take a deep breath in. Hannah is the worst. Spencer might’ve been gone, but like I’ve said before, this game has changed her for the worst, even Amelie can see it. If anyone deserves to go home next time, it’s Hannah. She isn’t going to be trustful with Amelie anymore, so Jade might as well do her a favor and take her out of the equation in case Anastasia wins next time by using the steal a vote advantage. Her introduction of this episode made me see her for what an over cocky and ruthless kind of player she is now. Ivy and Spencer were right about Hannah all along. Anastasia: “WHEN DID YOU GET THAT?!” Ah, got to love how an immunity totem play really makes things exciting, for better or worse. If Tristan was used to cause sadness, this was definitely used to cause so much destruction onto her overall game. She thought she was the puppet master of the merge, only to get her strings clipped by the real puppet master Isabel. With Anastasia’s allies gone, I can only imagine how chaotic she’ll get to stay alive in the game. Marissa: Good for her for finally kissing Anastasia on the lips and both telling each other they love each other. It certainly seemed like she had more staying power, but so did Tristan and both got advantaged out with the immunity totems. I did like her overall gameplay in the merge portion as less passive and quite interesting, and she is such a caring person to help support Anastasia during the tie breaker. Jade: She’s so human and so real a person this episode and how much she’s progressed to being more open with people. I think this is very fitting character development on her part. Also interesting of her to question Isabel’s plan as it even shocks her, as if she’s like Riri Williams or Peter Parker who made a deal with a devil who was very convincing to give them what they wanted by connecting to them on a personal level. Can’t wait to see what she does next episode! Isabel: Truly, the MVP of this episode. Her totem play was so iconic and the way she WANTED IT to go on as genius. I love Isabel so much more how cutthroat and savage she is, and the way she didn’t even talk back at Anastasia calling her a wretched nun…OMG, she’s fricken amazing! I can’t wait to see how this plan helps her and Jade out, because truly, Isabel played out a plan that is gonna cause SO MUCH FUN AND CHAOS, HAHAHA! Overall, I enjoyed the episode and challenge and the outcome. See ya next time for our final 7. And it looks like Anastasia beat the booting allegations and also they beat this being a purge challenge allegations too. Now let’s see which next girl will fall out of competition and take a pit stop at 7th place, because let’s face it, Zaid and Logan are fully safe next episode.

First of all, loved the Slenderman cameo. Very cute. Second of all, Logan feels so inconsistent this episode. He goes from doing his goofy smile to Anastasia to wanting to betray her like two minutes later. Then he tries to justify his betrayal by saying “I don’t think they’ll get salty about a dumb challenge.” But then says “It was harmless, but you know how paranoid she gets.” Like if you knew she was paranoid why did you try to justify betraying her in the first place 😭😭😭

This may be my favorite episode of the season yet, and I noticed that it was the first episode to not just be co-written by Michael Kim. Love the Horror theme as Horror will always be a treat for me. That was one stealthy cool robot. Logan proved to be quite the backstabber and I’m concerned about Hannah. Isabel is one crafty mastermind. Forcing that tiebreaker was a hell of a gut wrenching gambit. No doubt it will have a psychological effect on Anastasia, which Isabel was likely banking on. Natalia would be proud. Totally knew who was leaving and the farewell scene was powerfully executed perfectly. Even Emily was moved. Can’t wait to see how things move forward, especially with Jade who appears conflicted. Finally, I like Hannah’s sleepwear socks and Amelie’s sleep mask. 9.7/10

Wow what an elimination, definitely wasnt expecting a tiebreaker between ana and marissa, isabel is badass for that and i guess she really will be our main villain, this episode changes a lot, i thought ana would sacrifice herself for marissa by hitting trevors target but i guess they really have plans for ana to make it farther, this episode also split basically everyone, logan betrays ana and zaid, jade is unsure of isabel now, hannah and amelie arent happy with each other, zaid and ana dont have a strong alliance anymore, im scared for isabel since shes basically the main target now so id assume next episode she gets immunity or is saved from elimination, i actually believe hannah is next to go now which sucks because i thought shed win or make it farther but shes in a spot where amelies noticing her change and how it may affect her relations with others, i think going forward jade, logan, and isabel will work together, ana, hannah, and zaid will work together, leaving amelie a swing vote, i dont think amelie would be eliminated right after marissa since they returned together

Thoughts: I'm worried about Logan now more than ever after this episode. His PTSD from the Treasure hunt challenge is more serious than I thought and if it leaves him hydrophobic, he might never get back to his profession again. Also, refresh my memory, does Logan know that Jade had Richard leave him behind in that challenge while everyone else tried to save him? If not, what if he finds out? Then I'm afraid hell will break loose, because not only will he be down another Ally but he might not be able to trust anyone for help again and people who suffer PTSD don't need that. Stay strong Logan, I'm praying for you whether or not you're approaching dangerous territory.

Thoughts: If there is a definite time all bets are off in this season, it's NOW! Hypocrisy might be at play with some, which I hate, but i have to admit, the game moves some of the underdogs are playing have flipped this game upside down. Hannah fighting with Amelie, Logan entering the morally grey or neutral area, Jade turning nice, Isabel's long awaited dark move, Marissa and Anastasia's love story finally on board on the USS Bout Time and Zaid's morals getting a chance to shine alone and without Tristan or Ivy. Anyone can be next now and I can't wait to find out who it will be in the next episode with Odd Nation Cartoon genius like this.

I know she probably won’t last long next game and the tie breaker thing was pretty petty of her to stage, but at the same time she’s just playing the game like Spencer was. There’s no right or wrong, only decisions that you’re forced to make. Another thing I’d like to add, it’s about time Anastasia and Marissa kissed (for a second time).
