i'd enjoy the excuse to watch nausicaa for the first time. see if you can find the song in the soundtrack that mitsuda totally ripped off for one of CT's best songs! (and i'm glad he did – his is much better)

I watched Nausicaa for the first time ever a couple weeks ago and it immediately skyrocketed to my favourite Ghibli movie. the world they create is so textured and vivid and i just love it so much.
Pan's Labyrinth has so many layers. I would love to hear the two of them have a well researched discussion about it.
Nausicaa is going to get FF10'd. Jokes aside...the choices, man! All of these options would no doubt lead to great content, but Pan's Labyrinth...that movie is on a completely different level. The film is so layered! The creative influences, allegories, themes--all completely incredible! Guillermo del Toro is truly one of the greatest living auteurs and this film is proof-positive.
