this is gonna sound so nitpicky, but whoever is doing sound needs to master the music better. there's a very subtle, high-pitched ringing over the track in this video and the lil jeff video. a clear example in this video is at the one-hour marker. the content is on point and entertaining, as always.

Hi Ross, I have to admit, it’s pretty incredible that a young guy in his mom’s basement in England knows more about Chicago’s drill scene than most people in the city itself. Until I stumbled across your videos, I didn’t know half of what you cover either. And I live just blocks away—in Northwest Indiana. I drive through those neighborhoods every single day on my way to work downtown. The first video I watched was about Lil Jeff, and I was completely enthralled. I mean, I’m a 53-year-old man. My “gang” is the human race, and my OPPS are the IRS. But your storytelling pulled me in. Maybe it’s because I live so close to the areas you cover, or maybe it’s because I’m amazed by the sheer stupidity of it all. These kids get opportunities most people would kill for—money, fame, success—and throw it all away for a chain or a street beef. I’m not a heartless person, but I don’t shed tears for any of them. I work 60 hours a week to maintain a legal, modest lifestyle. Meanwhile, these guys have millions thrown at them for music with no talent behind it (let’s be real), and they still end up dead or in prison. It’s frustrating. I appreciate the way you present these stories—you do one heck of a job putting together fascinating documentaries. But let’s not kid ourselves: as much as you say you’re not glamorizing this, it’s hard to argue otherwise. The stories are captivating, but they’re also part of what keeps the cycle going. Living so close to these areas has changed the way I see them. Every day, I pass by the hot dog stand where that triple murder happened, and now I can’t see it the same way. I wonder what’s going on in that motel across the street from O-block. If boredom strikes You should do a documentary about that place—it’s got stories, I’m sure. Here’s the thing, though. You have a real talent, Ross. Your storytelling and research are top-notch. But I think you could do so much more if you focused on a subject that wasn’t so loaded with maniacs and sociopaths. Yes, all lives have value, but when people treat their lives like they don’t, it’s hard to feel sympathy. Keep up the good work, my man. Oh, and say hello to Q50 for me—tell him to shave that mustache. Also, it’s Muskegon with a hard “K.” Drives me nuts when you say it wrong.
