In fact, someone who thinks that being islamaphobic is racism is the one who's actually being racist, because that line of thinking is racist towards all white, chinese, and black muslims by implying that their race does not count in islam. Saying that islamaphobia is racist is being racist against all non-arab muslims. In short - islam is not a race, it's a belief system from the dark ages, and the most violent one that wants to dominate all others. No other religion commits terrorism, promotes extremism, or treats women so badly. Every other religion wants to live in peace with other people in this world who don't happen to believe in exactly what fairy tales they believe in, except Islam, and they'll make sure you know about their disdain for your existence. If someone walks into a meeting with a shit idea, you should tell them why. It doesn't mean that you think that they're a bad person, it means you think what they believe is wrong, and then we find a better idea. We have to be free to dismiss bad ideas (like islam) and promote good ideas. That is not the same as being racist - your race, sexual orientation, disabilities, etc. are not a choice. However, believing that stoning women to death for adultery, beheading those who don't believe in your fairy tales, and that it's cool to follow your prophet because he consummated his marraige to his 9 yr old bride, are all choices. And bad ideas.
