Jeffery and Lucy must contend with His decision in their efforts to get Yahweh to fail His test. On the other hand, failing His test means destroying the people of Earth. Will Jeffery really allow that to happen?
These episodes are always a balance of moving the story forward, and posing a relevant argument that I want to highlight. In this case, Lucy convinces Yahweh that people became better off as they moved further from authoritarian religious control. Despite that fact, people today still fear that losing religion would result in a worse society. The evidence simply does not substantiate that fear.
