Flimpo Friday Update (8/2/23)
🕑 Added 2024-08-03 21:19:04 +0000 UTCPicture this: It's 1 in the morning. All three of us have been livestreaming since 7:30 PM, as our final Mandelbrot Hall crowdfund livestream has run 5 hours overtime. The audience count hasn't gone below 100 the entire stream. The backer train timer has been reset over a hundred times since the stream started, but this time it really feels like this will be the end. After hours of chatting with the audience, drawing, and laughing our asses off, the timer draws to a close for the very last time. The countdown goes below a minute, and before we know it: it's over.
We did it everyone!!!
Not only did we get fully funded, but we smashed our first stretch goal. All three of us say our sappy, genuine thank-yous to the audience one by one, and turn the stream off for the night. Exhausted, and standing in the studio that you all made possible- we have a big group hug. Nothing feels real, and we really are going to make the cartoon we've always wanted to make- and we don't have to compromise for any network or company.
We seriously can not thank you all enough. If you're new to the Patreon, welcome! If you've been here since the beginning, thank you for your continued support! Regardless, we will be able to make this episode because of your help.
For those of you who pledged to our BackerKit, we'll be posting monthly updates on that right here. We will continue weekly updates and posting special behind the scenes work here too, don't worry! You've all been very patient over the last month or so as we have been focused more on marketing than making art- but production's really gonna ramp up now.
This week's Maisy pic features but a sliver of the girl, peeking out of the darkness.
Flimp on, Flimpos!
