Flimpo Friday Update (1-26-24)
🕑 Added 2024-01-27 06:33:20 +0000 UTCHi hi!! It's Milo again, I'm no longer sick and feeling all better now! Unfortunately, I did see that Ren deviated from the standard Flimpo Friday Format...so I gave them my cold as punishment.
(Out of character: I did actually give Ren my cold on accident but we're both totally better now lol)
We're still chipping away with Mandelbrot Hall's pre-production. Maven's character turnarounds and expression sheets are done! $3 and $5 can see them now, before the turnarounds go public in a week. Ren has been helping out with expression sheets, and laying out a more detailed production schedule for the next few months. I'm still working on location designs, you may have seen one of the sketches in today's video! Unfortunately though, a lot of my time this week was eaten up by fixing back-end web development issues because of our WIX cancellation. It's been well worth it so far, but please be patient as we figure out a way to fix our link redirects We're looking to be able to start thumbnail storyboards early February, which is gonna be a lot of fun!
I also finished the storyboards for the 5th JOY animation, it's a fun one! Can't wait to post the animatic for $5 patrons when it's clear to post- likely next week.
We've also been attending Animation First at FI:AF in NYC- and will continue to throughout the weekend. There are lots of incredible films and programs happening there, and we've already met a few supporters in person! If you see us- say hi (or bonjour because it's the French film festival, we won't judge and two-thirds of us speak some French.)
Well! That was a nice normal Flimpo Friday update wasn't it? If you agree, comment "Naughty Ren!" or some variant to get the message across. If we get more than seven (7) comments, that will be more than Ren's post and I'll win. Enjoy Maisy's cuboid form for this weeks pic as well.
Flimp on, Flimpos!

Dark chocolate is good, just wanted to let you know. Edit: I'm impartial to the ren v milo situation going on I will not say the words "naughty" and "ren" as a phrase. Also I'm just gonna leave this here okay byyyyye https://open.spotify.com/track/0xkdqhs5NcW2POmQYJU3ix?si=OzePn_yqT8GY0ZUZIgVexQ
