SG: sometimes it's really the little things that push buttons :cP
—----------------------------
“Oh, I didn’t think you were going to be here tonight.” She said, trying to be as polite as possible.
SG: i give it a 4 out of 10
—--------------------------
“Let's just say that my friend can be very…persuasive.”
SG: i could describe you the same way
—-----------------------
“Isn’t it great!” Laura shattered the silence as she poked her head around the drivers side of the van, beaming with excitement.
SG: yeah i can absolutely see her doing that
Note: IRL Laura has actually gone ghost hunting before. No word on her success.
—-----------------------
“Nope!” Laura said, handing her a spirit box. “These ghosts are all college students, all about your age!” She said without the slightest hint of realization as to what she was saying
SG: she's truly oblivious isn't she
—------------------------
The girls instantly stopped talking and looked around at one another in confusion and annoyance. Their lips were, indeed, sealed shut, as if they had been superglued together!
SG: yeah my first thought was "oh the annoyance that trigger would cause…
—-------------------------
“Now are you girls going to behave if I give you your mouths back?”
SG: this is where she could have been met with the finger
—-------------------------
“Sweet! Lights! Heat! Awesome! Can we go home now?” Asked Christine sarcastically.
SG: that would be my response
—------------------------
“Didn’t I explicitly tell you NOT to split up!” Eve nearly yelled through the radio
SG: of course, but in what horror scenario has that ever not happened? :cP heheh
—------------------------
“Oh for fucks sake.”
SG: ok that almost caused a spit take
—------------------------------
“Ghost orb! I have a ghost orb!”
SG: only she would be that excited about this
—-----------------------------
She said, moving down the hallway and following the orb
SG: what could possibly go wrong?
—--------------------------
“Oh wow!” Laura watched in amazement as the ghost slowly drifted from the room and floated into the hallway, then turned towards her. “This is amazing!”
Sg: that would not be my first thought, but you know...there's two types of people
Me: This is actually a reference that no one will get. There is an old UFO video where all of a sudden a bunch of UFO's appear and make a crop circle and shit and the guy filiming it goes "this is amazing" and the guy debunking it goes "yeah no this is fake... it's just too british, if i was watching this i'd be inventing new swear words and this guy just goes "this is amazing" bullshit!"
SG: hehehe ok but he's right. Who would see that and just say this is amazing?!
—-------------------------
As if someone shaped two spheres out of the darkest void in the universe and placed them where the eyes should have been.
SG: don't mind me, just embellishing
Note: SG not only edits but ghost writes a lot of this stuff. She is truly multi talented and I could not do this without her.
SG Note: awwww, that's really sweet :c) im just here for the editing, you do most of the work
—------------------------
Leaving her completely asleep. Completely unconscious.
Sg: possession doesn't do much for me but you still did a good job with this
—------------------------
But unfortunately for Laura, spatial awareness wasn’t really a strong suit of hers.
SG: also almost caused a spit take
—---------------------
A moment later they slammed shut as her body relaxed in its pose, leaving Laura completely unconscious…and of her own doing, no less.
SG: to no one's surprise
Note: It’s funny how you can always tell the people the SG knows IRL.
—----------------
“Mine didn’t seem to freak out but I did get some static for a moment.” Jessy said, sounding surprisingly calm compared to the rest of the group
SG: of course NOW she would be calm
Note: See what I mean?
—-----------------
Just…do what you're doing for now until we find Laura, ok?”
SG: solid advice, what could go wrong?
—-----------------
“Alright the damned dots thing is set up and I no longer need laser eye surgery. What now?”
SG: heheheh ok that was a good one
—------------------
“It’s ok, it can’t hurt you.
SG: it can, however, possess you and knock you unconscious so...it's a give and take
—-----------------
“Who am I kidding? She’d probably try to touch the damn thing and end up possed or something equally stupid!”
SG: the foreshadowing is strong with this one...although wait, Laura is technically already possessed at this point so it's not foreshadowing…
—----------------
And wouldn’t you know it, one of the first things that the human body decides to shut down in a situation like this…is the brain.
SG: i'm assuming that's true, but also convenient
ME: yes, which is unhelpful in situations like drowning... instead of shutting down something else your body si like "were sinking! quick... turn off the brain!"
SG: no one ever said our bodies were logical
—-----------------
“Hello…” she said softly, sliding her hand along the mirror’s curved edges. “What are you doing in a place like this?”
SG: nothing dangerous or terrifying, that's for sure
—------------------
“Just because I’m in an abandoned school doesn’t mean I shouldn’t look my best!”
SG: yes one should always look their best before potentially being possessed in an abandoned school
—-------------------
“I’m…fine…really…” Panted Jessy.
“Are you ok?” Eve asked.
“Yes…stairs…are…a bitch…” Came the response in between huffs.
“Cardio.” Rayne responded flatly.
“Fuck… … … … … …” There was the sound of several long pants over the radio. “ … .. you.” Jessy finally finished.
SG: ok that was hilarious
Me: Sadly it's not mine that is nearly word for word a scene from Red vs Blue
Sg: still hilarious
—-------------------
Of course Jessy was oblivious to all of this, I just thought you, the reader, might like to know.
SG: how considerate of you
—------------------
“You're breaking up Eve, we're going to try a few more questions on the spirit box first. Talk to you in a minute!”
Sg: i'll take famous last words for $1000 please
—------------------
“Want…excitement…want…pleasure… want…experience…want…night…out…”
SG: i mean...same, spirit box...same…
—---------------------
“Sleep…focus…feel your heart…beat… faster…harder…unable to…resist…letting…everything…around you…fade…away. Focus…on…her…eyes…unable…to…look away…adrenaline…pumping…heart…beating…breathing…panting…scared…fear…overloading…your…mind…can’t…resist…needing…to…focus…needing…to…sink…down…feeling …your…mind…shutting…off…off…off…”
Sg: do you know what it's like adjusting this one word at a time and knowing that you're starting to zone out to each word while simultaneously fixing it until you get to the end and then just sit there, blinking, for a few moments, knowing damn well that you just got zonked by something that isn't even in complete sentences?
Me: Nope, that's why i let you edit.
Sg: thank you captain smart-ass
—----------------------
“Sleep…Now…”
SG: damn it
—---------------------
“Ooh! Yeah you should try this, it's a lot of fun!” she smiled.
SG: the cluelessness is kind of entertaining at this point
—----------------------
What Jessy didn’t see, however, was that as the card glowed with the blue flame, so too did her eyes. Its magic filtered through her mind and burned away her energy and her thoughts, asleep on her feet.
SG: oooh...interesting effect
—-----------------------
As the card and her eyes lit up with the blue flame, Jessy gasped in surprise and, all at once, her body relaxed. Her shoulders slumped almost instantly as her face lost any hint of an expression, jaw hanging open softly as her eyelids drooped and started to slide closed. But not before her eyes rolled up into her head, revealing the whites of her eyes. She let out a soft sigh as her knees buckled and she slumped down to the floor and then fell against the side of the desk.
Sg: nice image
—------------------------
Christine, who wasn’t quite as oblivious as Jessy, immediately noticed that something was wrong immediately and stepped into the room, placing a hand on her friend’s shoulder. “Hey, are you alright? You look…well, kind of like you saw a ghost.” She asked worriedly, before lightheartedly adding “Or just in desperate need of some coffee.”
SG: those of us who are trying to cut out or back on caffeine do kind of resemble zombies, so…
Me: I know right..
—----------------------
I want you?” she asked, blushing again as the slider continued to move.
Sg: that's for another ending
—-----------------------
“Why does that sound…familllliii….” (the words in question were sleep christine)
Sg: famous last words…
—-----------------------
And took full advantage of it. (context: the Quiji board was being used to spell out a sleep trigger)
SG: nice use of a ouija board, i'll give you that
Me: Thanks, that one was pretty easy to come up with.
—------------------------
“That’s strange.” She said as she handed Carly the book to examine. “It’s completely blank. It looks like it should be a journal, but it’s way too fancy.”
SG: the devious part of me read this and thought 'like you should be' :oP whether or not that was directed at me or the character is a mystery…
Me: probably both
SG: in hindsight, yeah probably
—-----------------------
Meanwhile, Christine continued shining her light on the page, completely transfixed by the display in front of her as she slowly followed the spiral with her eyes. The deeper it moved into the page, the more her eyes followed it down.
Sg: great, now im imagining a spiral on a blank page of a book…
—-----------------------
“It says…Sleep, Christine Sleep… Sleep, Christine Sleep…Ssslleeeppp, Christiinneee… … … Sleeeeee…”
Sg: that...shouldn't have knocked me out
Me: but yet... it did.
SG: not for that long…
Me: anything is better then nothing
Sg: it was like thirty seconds max
mE: still out
Sg: Add it to the tally…
Note: SG knocked out by a story tally: 3
—---------------------------
A moment later, the book that Carly had been holding hit the floor with a thud, as she slowly stepped over it and followed Christine out into the hallway. In the pale light of the flashlight, the words “You’re mine!” began to form on an empty page of the book.
SG: nice touch
—--------------------------
I’m glad you were here, otherwise I was going to get the fuck out of dodge.” She said matter-of-factly.
Sg: at least she's honest
—---------------------
“And…she’s gone.”
Sg: in more ways than one, yes
—---------------------
“Sanity Pills: Fukidol, 50MG. Take one pill until you are calm. Repeat as needed.”
Sg: heheheh, nice
Me: Thak you =c) I was proud of that one.
Sg: heheh yeah that was very nicely done
—---------------------
But their strange behavior implies there is more to them than meets the eye.
Sg: cue the transformers theme…
Me: Eh it seemed to fit
—-----------------------
“There’s a reason I stayed in the van.” Eve replied matter of factly
Sg: at least she's honest
—---------------------
Their bodies were somewhat slouched to one side, not entirely upright, and their heads were cocked to one side or the other. Laura’s hair was disheveled and covering part of her face.
Sg: honestly that's a creepy as shit image :cP (most of the paragraph, not just this part)
Me: hehe, Yeah, I'm not very good at horror but I was pleased with how well this worked out.
—----------------------
And this, more or less, was where Rayne said “Fuck that!” and turned to run back down the hallway towards the van.
Sg: almost caused a spit take, nicely done
—--------------------
Her head jerked to the opposite side from the impact and slammed into the brick wall.
Sg: thats gonna leave a mark
—---------------------
Her eyes rolled up into her head as her body slid down the wall into a gentle pile on the floor,
Sg: i do enjoy the classic reactions like that to getting knocked out, though…
Me: I don't get to do a lot of classic knock outs I want to get more into it. this one was actually Shelly's idea as the ghost type following her is a poltergeist and can move things. and throw them across the room.
—--------------------
Moments later, as she passed an open classroom door, an old bell telephone started to ring. And Rayne did, in fact, scream like a small child in a horror film.
Sg: almost as if the telephone was placed there for comedic timing
Me: It's also in the game
—------------------
“Rrrraaaaaayyyyyyyynnnnneeeeee….” came an eerie whisper through the phone. The kind of distinct whisper that could almost be mistaken for wind simply blowing through the corridor. If it hadn't sounded so eerily like her own name.
Sg: well that's creepy
—------------------
“Alright guys, if I don’t hear from someone in the next two minutes I’m calling the cops! This is insane and I’ve had enough!”
Sg: i'm surprised it took this long
Me: Up until now it could have been a kind of tech issues.
—----------------------
“What is going on…”
Sg: if only she noticed the pattern here…
—---------------------
“Oh this is bad.” Eve thought to herself.
Sg: ya think?!
—--------------------
As Eve frantically flipped between the cameras, the lights in the van suddenly started to flicker.
Sg: because why not, at this point
—------------------
Behind her, Rayne and the others all had their mouths open as an eerie ticking sound emanated from their throats.
Sg: i read that as "tickling" at first, so it's probably a good thing i'm almost done
—---------------
“What…the…hell?!” Eve asked in panicked confusion
SG: possessed possession, how meta
Me: also my wifes idea
—-------------------
The moment it happened, Eve felt a rush of pleasure wash through her breast. It felt like she was having a mini orgasm focused completely in that one singular part of her body
Sg: was...not expecting that
—--------------------
Jessy sunk one deeply into the other breast of the doll, causing Eve to let out a soft, but high pitched, moan as her body convulsed with pleasure.
Sg: this is weirdly pushing my buttons…
Me: Heheh yeah it worked out a lot better then I had hoped
—---------------------
Finally, Christine raised a pin above the doll and plunged it all the way between the doll's legs. Like we didn’t see this coming.
Sg: anticlimactic climax?
—-------------------
and in the pale light made it seem as if she had landed in a very horror film style pool of blood.
Sg: because placement
—-------------------
sliding inside in a way that almost seemed sensual, almost seemed seductive and erotic.
Sg: the image certainly is…
—------------------
Josh sighed and took a fry of his own, but instead of biting it he began to wave it around frantically.
Sg: the funny part is i read this the first time and thought "yeah...i could see you doing that" only to stop myself almost immediately after the fact and go "wait...i'm pretty sure i've SEEN you do that"
Me: oh absolutely. Josh is definitely me while I was burnt out working as a tech.
Sg: yes, it shows very very much
—------------------------
Josh’s response was a near catatonic stare as he slowly blinked at Trisha and mindlessly ate another fry.
Sg: this seems familiar...(again, me being a sarcastic ass)
—------------------
Josh raised an eyebrow and held up a fry between the two of them, slowly moving it from side to side in front of Trisha’s eyes.
Sg: if you ever try to hypnotize me with a french fry i will smack you
Me: Before or after you sleep?
Sg: neither because i'm not letting you hypnotize me with a french fry
—------------------
“Yeah, believe it or not a group of girls having a hypnotic orgy is going to make the rounds in the rumor mill
SG: especially on a college campus, no less
—-------------------
She had an idea in mind.
Sg: i mean she had multiple ideas in mind, let's be honest
—------------------
“That girl goes a mile a minute at the slowest.”
Sg: actually i think even that's an understatement
—---------------------
In the end, the girls were too helpless and unaware thanks to their incapacitated states.
Sg: creepy but also button pushing...go figure
—------------------------
smudge stick
SG: which i have never heard of until this point…
Me: hey are in the game itself so it's a direct reference to the game.
Sg: that would explain my lack of knowledge
Note: for those not aware a smudge stick is basically a bundle of herbs and sticks that smell good when you light them on fire, the smoke is said to cleanse the spiritual energy of a room. In the game they stop a ghost from hunting you…. For a time.
—--------------------------
It was as if something inside of her body was shaking and not her body itself.
SG: almost like there was a demon inside or something
—---------------------
“That’s it everyone, just breathe slowly and easily. Let your breath move down into your pelvis and simply cleanse you of your stress and your worries.”
Sg: you know you're tired when you're sitting here reading this and think "that sounds nice..."
Me: This is where our dear editor starts to fade away…
Sg: editors note: I was not fading away :cP
Me: Hypnotists note: She was =cP
Sg: Editors note: see part 9
—--------------------
Cheyenne said with genuine concern in her voice. “You look so tired, so worn out. Let me help you.” She raised the smudge stick between herself and Jessy and blew the smoke straight into the possessed girl's face. “Just breathe this in and let your negative energy float away!”
Sg: that is a whole other level of obliviousness
Me: Have you met Cheyenne? (like the IRL person)
—---------------------
It was impossible to miss her chest since it was literally at eye level a few inches from his face
Sg: convenient excuse
—---------------------
He couldn’t help but feel a little nervous, like he was being watched by a wild animal.
Sg: wild animal...zombie...same difference
—---------------------
For a moment he felt almost nervous to touch her given the situation, but no one else around seemed to notice or care. With another shrug he laid a hand on her back for a moment before gently patting her on the back and then rubbing it soothingly. “I’m Josh…” He said as he grabbed the last of his fries. “Nice to meet you.”
Sg: sounds about right for the situation
—---------------------
Neither girl seemed to respond all that eagerly, they were both still staring off into space, unfocused and blank with their mouths hanging open
Sg: leave it to Trisha to be too horny to notice that
Me: She is exactly like her IRL counterpart
Sg: in many ways, yes
—---------------------
It was equal parts eerie and sexy.
Sg: strangely sexy, but still sexy
—--------------------
But the two possessed girls continued to sink slowly and eerily into the classroom. The more they sang, the more dizzy and drifty
Sg: but its nice to be dizzy and drifty…
Me: says the editor while feeling dizzy and drifty
Sg: you're not helping…
Me: nor am I intending too.
—--------------------
Her hand, however, slowly made its way up Laura’s stomach to her breast as she started to slowly fondle the blonde.
Sg: who needs to move your head when you can just do that instead?
—------------------
Trisha let out a soft sigh as her body began to feel heavier and more relaxed. “What…what is that…”
Sg: honestly this whole part has been a very sexy image…
Me: it's almost like im writing porn or something.
Sg: I know its weird
—----------------
it was quite clear that she was far too wound up, sexually, to notice that they were not in the right state of mind.
Sg: but in fairness, would she have noticed if she wasn't horny?
Me: in fairness... no.
—---------------
Like her feet were starting to stick to the ground, or becoming too heavy to actually lift.
Sg: or like she was sinking in quicksand…
Me: are you... sinking into quicksand now sleepygirl?
Sg: Maybe:
Me: I will admit the quicksand thing came out of no where.. feel free to explain =cP
Sg: when you described her feet as being too heavy to move, quicksand was just the first thing that came to mind, not sure why :cP it makes sense though, it has the same effect...slow footsteps, too heavy to move, eventually leaves you stuck, etc
Me: almost like your feet are rooted the ground, unable to think, just blank and calm…
Sg: like a mannequin on display
Me: Good girl, enjoy your freeze
—--------------
Trisha’s face was visibly slack by now
Sg: yep...buttons pushed
—------------------
There were no thoughts in her mind. Only desire. The music box was calling her, and she needed to be near it. Needed to answer its call.
SG: i really need to stop pushing my own buttons as i'm re-writing some of these parts
Me: Imagine how I feel on most days
—----------------
She was so close. She could feel its pull, its energy, its call.
Sg: is it weird that i got so invested in how close she was getting that i kind of zoned out too? i mean, this is me we're talking about so i guess that's normal
Me: heheh Nope, half the fun of this is watching you trance yourself
Sg: I dont trance myself THAT often
—-----------------
Trisha stood in the center, upright but relaxed as her head gently rested against her chest, her shoulders sagging as her arms hung limp at her sides. All she could do was breathe, slowly and deeply, as she continued to be enthralled by the song of the ghosts inside her friends
Sg: ok this is really pushing buttons...i think it's because of just how out of it she is and the fact that the song is probably making her sink even deeper and enthralling her even more without her knowing
—---------------------
Laura and Eve gently splayed out on the floor, and Trisha, asleep on her feet with her shirt open and her head staring up at the ceiling.
Sg: hell of an image though…
—-------------------------
The first thing that caught her attention was the man standing in the hallway, holding a woman over his shoulder.
Sg: in fairness that would have been the first thing i noticed, too
Me: comedic irony
—--------------------------
Although her pink pajamas were far from boring, they also weren’t exactly sexy either.
Sg: depends on the kind of pajamas
Me: yes, but I'm telling you that they are not sexy as a descriptor not as an opinion
—------------------------
“I’m tempted to say no, in the hopes that you’ll take her to a lost and found.
Sg: yup, that's a very Klaire response
Note: Klaire is another IRL friend of ours, rather known for her snarky attitude and an inability to keep it under control. She is however, ultimately a very caring and compassionate person, just one with a very sharp tongue and no control over it.
—-----------------------
He cringed a bit as he explained. “I didn’t…do anything inappropriate to get that. I made sure to be a gentleman.”
Sg: awww, that's sweet
—-----------------
“What a weird night…”
Sg: that's an understatement
—-----------------
